These seem like your run of the mill t-post insulators. The only thing I noticed that's different from other ones with this design is that the rounded end which you snap over the spine of the t-post is perhaps a little bit longer and so it requires some effort to clip on. Forcing it with your hands just squeezes the rounded end without getting the edge over the spine. There might be a better way, but I've been inserting a screwdriver into this curve to get it over the spine. ... show more

I ordered these to use with a solar powered fence charger. We have had major problems with deer on our farm, and after putting up 7.5' deer fence, we're still seeing deer barging through the fence, especially now that bucks are chasing doe around at night. These clip on to t-posts quickly, and allow the use of different types of fencing. I'm using thin nylon with embedded wire, and it is very quick to install on these. The length is adequate to stand the wire off the posts, so it doesn't short out on posts, even if the posts aren't perfectly set with the flat side even all the way down the fence line. You still have to position all of the posts so they are oriented the same way, but they don't have to be perfect. The only negative is that these don't work with wider ribbon type fencing, but knowing that going in to the project, it really isn't a problem. If you plan on using ribbon, you'll need the version designed for that. If you want to put up fencing quickly, this is a great product. If animals run full speed into it, the clips may pop off the posts, but I haven't had any break. I am using peanut butter on strips of aluminum foil to"train" deer to know where the fence is, to prevent them from blindly running through it. So far, the clips are working out great and save a lot of time. ... show more
