This 30 can capacity cooler backpack will work perfectly for our many summer outings to the lake. I’ve had several of these and they do eventually wear out. This one seems durable and well-built. I especially like the zippers. They work smoothly with no drama and the pull tabs are long enough to easily grasp and pull on. There is a large zippered pocket which can hold your phone, keys and more. Two mesh side pockets with elasticized closure securely holds your tumbler, wine bottle or thermos. The wide, adjustable and reinforced shoulder straps are lightly padded and include an attached bottle opener, which is nice. There is a strong loop at the top to hang this backpack on a hook or to easily pick it up and carry it with one hand, if needed. The interior is a medium duty vinyl creating a waterproof “tub” although I haven’t tested this using ice. The maker recommends using cold pack, as “ice can cut through the backpack lining”. I can just bag my ice first in a couple regular plastic grocery bags, which should make it easier to access items too. Some cooler backpacks come with a formed, semi-hard plastic internal base and sides which strengthens and protects the contents against sharp objects and makes the whole unit more stable and easier to stand upright. I wish this had that. The insulation seems perfectly adequate to keep your food and drinks cold for several hours, provided you have cold pack or ice inside and ideally, you keep it out of the hot sun. I like this cooler backpack and if you are in the market for such a portable, easy to use, lightweight cooler, with some nice features, this one by Wolka should be on your short list! The straps are nice and padded and it is large enough to hold a few drinks and something to eat. It is also very easy to wipe both the inside and outside of the bag. Can’t wait to use this for summer bike rides and picnics and beach days. Not so sure how well it keeps the cool in but so far quality and material looks well made and sturdy. I thought it would be bigger and bulkier but it’s actually a great size, you can fit 8-10 cans on the bottom and have 2 more stacks above, has plenty of space.
