This tent was actually really easy to set up and get ready. Probably took <5 mins and that's even with having to try to figure out the instructions, which are just a couple pictures. The instructions could be worked on. The land stakes could be a little longer too, to get better firm attachment to the ground. Opening/closing the door flaps is really easy. I haven't had any issues with snags or getting bunched up trying to open/close the doors. Durability is pretty good, I've had the tent for almost 2 months and I haven't seen any real fading or issues from being in the sun all day or issues from being through several storms. ... show more

I just put this up in my house as not yet camping weather. Easy up and down and having a removable tent inside a sun shade is brilliant. Caution when you are collapsing it. Beware of your hand placement! My thumb got caught as I squeezed the tent post to collapse. I was not hurt, learned to be careful. Easily fits back in its bag and though bulky for backpacking, it is lightweight! Will see how it does in the elements but I am so happy with the design and color! Great price too. ... show more

I don't consider myself an avid camper, but I do go outdoor camping 3-4 times a year. I've been using a standard 3 person tent that you have to manually setup. Needless to say, I was excited to try this popup tent. After setting this up in my house, I have mixed feelings about actually taking this out camping. Setup is insanely quick. It does hold true to "popup" tent. You take the tent out of the bag, unfold the legs, pull the top up, and presto, up it goes. I was able to setup this tent by myself in a few minutes. It also packs away just as easy. I was able to do that myself as well. It's also pretty easy to stuff back in the zippered bag it comes with. Pegs are included to keep the tent secured down. There are 2 doors, with dual zippers, and "windows" to help with ventilation. You can enter/exit on either side. Since there's not much room to maneuver about, this is a nice feature to have if using with 2 people. Each door also has an overhang to shade the window. The rainfly doubles as a sunshade, if you need shade at the park or beach. (but you aren't able to use the tent without the sunshade) Now for the set backs. While easy to setup, I question the durability of the poles and tent material. They seem a bit mediocre. The poles and joints seem a bit flimsy and with repetitive use or strong winds, will either break or come apart. The material is quite thin, especially the floor of the tent. I always use a footprint under my tent, but even with the footprint, I worry that the floor won't withstand the elements and repetitive use. I've been caught in a few down pours while camping, and I don't want to find out the hard way if the material will truly keep the wind/water out. To bundle the tent, a shoddy piece of material is included to tie around the tent. Velcro or paracord would be a nice addition. Lastly, this tent is maybe roomy enough for 1-2 small adults or children. No way can this fit 2-3 comfortably as suggested. With all that said, I can't recommend this for a back packing trip or even SUV camping. It may be suitable for backyard type camping. For $80 (at time of review) you can find much better options. ... show more

4 stars TL;DR Easy to set up and take down. Material seems good and stitching is good throughout. — As others have said, this is super easy to put up, even for a total camping n00b like me. I like that I don’t have to fuss with putting tent poles together and then threading them through tiny sleeves to get the tent stood up. Tent stakes are thin (easier to just stick in the ground by hand, I guess). Note that there aren’t poles for keeping the door up as a canopy, as shown in the product images. The material seems about the same weight/thickness as other tents I’ve had. Stitching throughout is good—no sloppy lines or loose threads. I really like that it’s easy to fold up and put away (I’ve always struggled with getting tents back into their storage bags. I struggled with this one, too, but I got the bag zipped up in the end. There were some additional pieces I didn’t know what to do with (like a large tarp thing with elastic loops in the corners). My inexperience is showing, I know. Some extras I’ve had in other tents that I noticed are missing from this: no pouches for storing things and no opening for running cables. Overall, a good basic, easy-to-set-up tent. ... show more
