I am pleased with the look of this curtain. I think having print on the back might make it a bit less transparent, but I used to see the pockets on my shower liner through my previous curtain, and I cannot with this one, so it still is opaque enough. The colors are what I expected. It works especially well in my small corner shower scrunched up a bit. As for it not having grommets, it doesn't seem a big deal. My previous curtain didn't have grommets and it is still in good condition. If anything, in my experience, grommets are where shower curtains tend to rip, because they get pulled out of the grommet. I would rather have the hole reinforced as this one is. It came a bit wrinkled and did smell a tad like plastic, but what else do you expect when it is folded up in a plastic bag, such as comforters come in? I expect with more use, the steam from showers will press the wrinkles and diffuse the smell. This is not a big deal. And I even put the precious curtain in the bag for storage.
