Nice to have just a bit of color. Don't expect true coverage of anything but it can liven you up a bit. All in all just an average powder to set makeup and reduce shine. I find the sponge kind of useless and use a brush instead. Cannot vouch for the 'anti aging' claims.

As someone with dry, sensitive skin I need to use rich moisturizers which can leave my face a bit shiny. I like to tone down the shine with a bit of translucent powder but find nearly all of them to either dry out my skin, cause irritation, or be too dark in color (I am extremely pale). This Cover Girl powder in translucent is by far the best powder I have ever used. The white color doesn’t go on chalky and also doesn’t darken as the day goes on. I can’t speak to whether the white translucent shade would be an ideal choice for darker skin tones but as a pale person it is amazing. Applied with a fluffy brush, the powder dampens the shine down to a lovely glow with no tightness or itching (even after touch-ups). The compact stays closed in my purse and I carry a brush along for on-the-go touch-ups. If I have a complaint it is that the powder can get quite crumbly once you reach the pan (as do most pressed powders) but I still find I’m able to use up 95%+ of the product. I have gone through 6 or 7 of these over the last few years and have no interest in trying other powders which says a lot! ... show more

Purchased accidentally instead of my regular Covergirl pressed powder and I am so glad I did! This is the best pressed powder I've ever used! Seriously helps hide those fine lines that we ladies with older skin don't want accentuated. I use a primer base followed by a very light weight, tinted foundation and then powder. This shade is not the same as previous orders. It says the same color but it goes on much differently and it’s gross. I have to wash my face and remove it. I ordered another one thinking it was just a bad batch but this one is gross too. It goes on orange and thick and dries in wrinkles Very disappointing especially when I really was excited about the first one I had that matched my tone perfectly. As someone who has loved this formula and has bought it in stores for years... This is not the same. I also ordered a classic ivory because my buff beige was too dark for these northern winter months. The ivory I received is disappointingly darker than the buff beige, which I did not find to be true in previous purchases of classic ivory. I'm not sure if it was mislabed or what. I'm keeping it because it will work in the summer when I am fully tanned but I'm ticked that I found a powder that I love and it's no longer available in stores and now there is inconsistency with online ordering. ... show more
