  • Good buy
The great thing is it comes with a carry able pouch , the clarity is not bad, it’s nothing like the high end ones but with the money it’s a great buy. Would be trying to use most often let’s see what I discover.

  • Better than expected. Yes, you really can see in absolute darkness.
I'll be up front with you: I got these on a whim. They looked like a cool toy. But, man, I gotta say, these "goggles" are impressive. They have a very high quality feel; the fit and finish is excellent. In well-lit situations, they work as a pretty average camera. You can record up to 4K on the SD card, or take snapshots. The zoom is advertised as 8X, although to me that means you can make an image 8 times as large. It's more like a 20% increase in size, but still, it's better than nothing. But it's in the low-/no-light times that these goggles shine. Turn on the infrared light with a simple press of a button on the top (right where your fingers are anyway) and it looks like you've got a spotlight on everything in sight. In fact, the IR light is almost too bright, and it sometimes takes a second or two for the auto exposure to adjust. The night vision image is definitely more grainy than the normal mode, and of course it's in black & white, but that's to be expected. That notwithstanding, you can clearly make out objects without a problem. There's 3 IR brightness levels, although there's not a ton of difference between them - at least from what I can tell. That may be the auto exposure compensating. It also has a "tactical" light, which is just a regular white LED that you can turn on steady or in on/off flash mode. I suppose if you're using them for wildlife observation, and you get lost in the woods, the brinky rights might help someone locate you, and it will make the flashlight last longer. It comes with a nice case and carrying strap and lens cleaning cloth. It also had a tripod mount. A 32 GB microSD card is included, which is a nice touch. I doubt the special ops guys are going to be taking these into battle, but for casual use, they're a lot of fun. ... show more

  • Kind of disappointed
These r fun but it just takes way to long to get it focused onto things, especially wildlife. And it does NOT have much of a zoom to it! You have 2 b pretty close 2 whatever your looking at or want a photo of! Thought these would b GREAT 4 WORK, eco tour boat captain, but had to buy different binoculars caus3 the animals were long gone b4 I cld get them focused ... show more

  • I wrestled with Stars but Landed on 5
So before I get into detail, Im going to just give the TLDR overview. I was going to give 4 stars, but opted for 5 simply becasue I think items should be compared to their peers. This isnt trying to be a Nikon or Canon product. Its for casual, occasional use a a low price point. This isnt my only pair like this. I would say these are nice than the other one, but image quality wise very similar. To that point, its all digital zoom when looking at the display. Image quality is like looking at a cell phone with a single lens and digital zoom. I will say the packaging is way nicer and more professional. The box is gift quality. It comes with a nice nylon zip bag, neck strap, charge/data cord, Cleaning card and 32GB card. So ready to use out of the box. The battery is rechagable and seems to last pretty long in my testing. Operation was fine but the button orientation is a little confusing at first but fine when you get used to it. The best example is that the digital zoom is shared with the ev (Exposure) button. The default is to change EV and to change zoom you have to hold the button a bit. I feel like it should have been the other way. The screen is large and clear. Im nearsighted and I can take off my glasses and see the large color screen clearly. As with all of the similar variants, "Night vision" is just IR. Nothing wrong with that, just not the clarity of a true night vision product. Again, these arent targeting thousands of dollars which is what true nightvision costs and isnt really consumer level. Also note that like others I have tested, these are manual focus on the left side. They are really a monocular that you view on a screen with both eyes. So to sum it all up, I think they are feature packed and a good value for the price which is why I rated them as I did. They look cool and deliver everything you need out of the box. I am not a photographer, but photos are good and the nightvision woks as well as the day vision. These can be tossed in my Jeep for the rare times I need them. ... show more
