Description

The fence measures 1" x 2" x 24" and is made from precision extruded aluminum with integrated t-slots and finished on both sides with molded end caps. The t-slots allow the use of fence-mounted stop blocks, clamps and hold downs that use a 1/4"-20 bolt mounting system. When extra drilling depth is needed the fence can be used with the 1" face as the guide surface. A pair of tall knobs and included hardware secure the fence to the work top and allow you to quickly secure the fence exactly where you need it.

This drill table is extremely sturdy and IMHO the best one out there with 4 sets of T-tracks. But, the problem is they only take 1/4 -20 T-bolts. Most drill press hold downs and jigs are 5/16-20 T-bolts so most don't fit. An easy cure is just to replace the T-Tracks with Powertec Universal T-Tracks ($30 on Amazon) that make this drill press table perfect...accepting both 1/4 inch and 5/16 T-Bolts as well as hex bolts. I looked at various drill press tables, particular the ones with the low profile fences with laser cut rules, and realized that I would never use the measuring rules on those tables since they would not provide the precision I need. I measure in 32nds or even less. This table is simple to install, easy to remove and offers four tracks. I was very impressed with the quality of the table surface and the installation hardware. The packaging was meticulous ... a sign that the manufacturer takes pride in their products. I agree with the first reviewer about the t-tracks; there is nothing wrong with the t-tracks provided. But, in my shop, I have a number of t-tracks and I want to be able to use the same holddowns wherever I need them. It was no big deal to swap the t-tracks for universal tracks. ... show more

I really wanted to make my own drill press table so I started shopping for the parts and pieces needed. I found that there was no way I could create a table for the price of this one. When it arrived I could see clearly that it was carefully constructed a precisely machined. I'm a little concerned about the mounting screws for the T-slots being strong enough for lots of use. If this becomes a problem I can always through-bolt them in. Be aware that the beautiful phenolic top surface on the table will scratch fairly easily, but that shouldn't affect the overall durability. ... show more
