The infant optics baby monitor is my absolute favorite baby monitor. I have a lot of nephews and have tried out several different monitors and infant optics is by far my favorite. The usability is so straightforward and intuitive, but the battery is just wonky sometimes. After almost buying this replacement battery a while back I read a review that gave a tip about unplugging the battery and then plugging it back in to fix the charging issue. They were right! After 6+ months of occasionally having to do that the original battery just stopped working. This replacement has not had a single issue since we purchased it well over a year ago. If you're looking at this review, I am truly sorry that the original battery you got with your baby monitor sucked so bad. No idea why it's just so terrible but I know before we had to replace we were able to go for over a year of just removing the battery and waiting a minute before replacing. Fixed the constant low battery notification. Annoying but a temporary fix. However, that constant battery removal led to the wires breaking apart which is why we had to buy another battery. Let yourself be forewarned to be careful and accept that having an additional battery on hand might save you in the future. Grab one on sale so you don't have to go without a monitor for a few days or you have to pay for express shipping. ... show more

This brought our monitor back to functioning like new. It had gotten to where we could hardly use it for a full nap unplugged, now I can use it for naps all day and recharge at night (while also using it) as I used to.
