This should be the only time the appliance is turned on without any cookware and this procedure should be carried out in a well ventilated area."     • Now I Can Cook While Sitting
Because of this induction burner I am able for the first time in years I can cook at the kitchen table from my wheel chair. This is gives me a huge sense independence and has boosted my self esteem beyond words. I feel like I’m living again instead of being a burden to my family. . Now that winter is approaching I’m excited about the prospects of making soups and stews for my husband and myself. I am completely mystified with the temp and heat settings. they seem like 2 sides of the same coin. And the instructions aren't very clear. Its made in cHINA after all. I guess I should be thankful the instructions weren't in Chinese translated English. The instructions stated that there would be an odor the first couple of times of using it and they were right. but its not too terrible and it really does work well. whats most amazing with this new technology, while the water is boiling in the pan, I can put my bare finger right next to the bottom of the pan, actually touching the surface of the cook top the pan is sitting on, and its just slightly warm. ... show more

I use this to cook outside on my back porch. It works great! and I like how you can adjust the heat level. You do have to use a pan that works with induction, like a heavier pan or a skillet. My small non-stick one didn’t work.

    • Really bad instruction manual
Nice product if you can figure out the function buttons. The instructions are very skimouabd hard to understand the difference between various functionality. Had to exchange 2 emails to figure out the 'lock' function! The manual says nothing about it that you should hold it down for a few seconds for it to work and then enter your other settings. For something that should be a no brainer and easy to use, it's definitely not! ... show more

I've cooked on electric cooktops but hate the clean up. Induction helps because no need to worry about a burnt on mess. I put a thin silicone sheet on top of it to cook & don't have to worry about deep cleaning. A simple wet paper towel is all I need to keep it nice and shiny!     • Nice looking, actually boils water
This is the 3rd cooktop I've purchased trying to find one that gets hot enough to boil water for pasta. This one does it no problem, and I've had people comment on how nice looking it is.
