I never write reviews of anything, in fact I don't believe I ever have. But I decided to for this case because after years of trying various cases, I think I finally found the best one. I do not like the ubiquitous sleeves on the market because they don't provide any protection when the computer is in use/not in them. So I've always gone for hardshell cases on my MacBook Pros. The problem is almost all of them are made out of flimsy plastic, and the edges crack, chip, and peel, very quickly. Pages of Amazon offerings are exactly like this. THIS CASE IS NOT LIKE THAT. It is very STURDY plastic that is soft/grainy to the touch and fits the MacBook Pro perfectly. After having it for some time, there is no such damage, and it provides great protection without the common shortcomings of almost every other case. Yes it's about $15-20 more than the others but there is absolutely a difference in quality. If you are looking for a hardshell case for your Mac, this is the best one out there.

I haven't had an Incase hardshell case, I have used other cases from other brands that are considerably cheaper and they have worked out great too. The main difference in my opinion would be that the Incase one has a better fit, you don't have to fight to get it in place, it is super simple and it takes 30 seconds to have it installed. I purchased it to protect my computer and I think for the use I have it intended it will do great. I can definitely recommend. If you want to go towards cheaper option they work out too. But this one is just better.

Fits my MacBook Pro while providing protection. I have not dropped them but they are not designed to protect your computer from that. Thin so they don’t take up space and keep the computer from getting scratched up.

top lid clips on great. bottom lid sucks.. doesn't clip on at all really, but it pretty much stays on and keeps my computer safe I guess.

Ordered this as a gift, double checked several times to make sure the listing said it would fit the newest 16in MacBook Pro, also checked reviews for customers that said it would fit that model. Received it, wrapped it, gifted it, and it does NOT fit. Several different people tried to put it on, to make sure it wasn’t user error. It only has a 30 day return window, which is not clear in the listing. Because it was a gift and I was trying to plan ahead, it more than 30 days before we realized it didn’t fit. Now stuck with a case we can’t use. It also came with a scuff mark already on the top lid, which was small enough I was willing to overlook it when I thought the case would work. However, now that I know the case doesn’t work, it just feels like an extra insult. Also, this is the second time I am writing this review. The first time I wrote a review was in August, right after I realized I was stuck with a defective product. I noticed today that my review was no longer there. I’m still mad, so here it is again.
