I BOUGHT THIS BACKPACK FOR MY HUSBAND FOR OUR UPCOMING TRIP TO EUROPE. I PRE-PACKED IT WITH 1 PAIR OF JEANS (MENS), 3 T-SHIRTS, A PAIR OF SLEEP PANTS, 3 PAIRS OF UNDER-WARE AND 3 PAIRS OF SOCKS AND I COULD HAVE PACKED MORE AS IT STILL HAD LOTS OF ROOM. I tested this backpack out on a week long vacation to Nashville. It easily held 8 unique outfits, my toiletries and an extra pair of shoes with plenty of wiggle room for about a shoe box full of souvenirs. The quality of the backpack is very good - feels heavy duty and durable (which does come with being slightly heavier but not too much). I'm only returning the pack because it was way too big for my little 5'1" frame. Even when it wasn't fully packed out, it was just too long and too wide on my frame to ever feel comfortable. I think this would work great for a bigger person than I, who is looking for something that will hold everything they need for a 1-2 week trip. Fully packed, it had no chance at all of fitting under the seat on Allegiant Air, but on JetBlue I was able to fit it under the seat in front of me (pictured). I just had to give up pretty much any leg room, but that worked great for me because I have short legs and it was more comfortable to rest my feet on top of my pack than it usually is having them dangle a few inches above the ground. If there was a 30L version of this pack that was shorter/skinnier but with the same material and layout, I would absolutely buy it. For anything more than two nights, this is a fantastic bag. The cinch straps let you really snug it down too. I've used it on a few trips and it has been great--I wouldn't change a thing.
