  • Great cutter!
Thought I was losing my touch, but just need a new cutter. Love it. If youre new to glass cutting, don't put oil in it. Dip it in oil!!!

  • Hunting for another brand
It's sturdy and scores really well, but the oil leaked out all over my cutting surface. It was leaking out around the front and at the plug in the back which i had tightened closed. Disappointing!

  • Love the color
Good quality tool! I don’t fill mine with the oil because just about all of them are going to leak. So I just pour a little bit of oil into a little cap and rub the wheel in there just a little bit. You really don’t need much

  • You see the stars...here's the backstory.
I recently purchased an old home that has a substantial amount of old / wavey glass. While the majority of the panes are in good shape, there are some that are cracked and broken and there are also some places in the home where the glass is new and it looks out of place. I priced-out purchasing 8 panes of reproduction glass that is 9x13" and it came to $250 which isn't an enormous expense but I read in an article about a woman who restores antique window frames and it said in the article that while reproduction glass is available, she is always on the lookout for old wavey glass that she has cut to size. I was recently at an antique store and got my hands on some old window frames with glass for about $20 a pop. The glass was big enough to cut down to the 9x13 that I needed. What a nightmare it was taking the frames apart to get the glass...some was broken. I still have more frames to take apart...but I figured I would try my hand at cutting the glass to size. Tool came yesterday, I took a piece of glass I had already broken and tested the tool on it and...much easier than I expected. I added glass cutting oil to the tool, opened up the valve, dragged the scoring tool across the glass and put the glass over the edge of a table and just applied a tiny but of pressure and the glass separated. Cool stuff. ... show more
