Only issue was that 1 of the 3 had a reversed magnet. Not a huge issue just annoying.

While most of the use for this seems to be for keeping kids out, I recently had an incident where I was missing some money after a visit from someone I had little reason to trust. So I had a handyman put in locks in 2 drawers (not cheap - about $80 each) and then keep the keys well hidden. So I have the equivalent of 2 home safes. To get to my goodies, someone else will have to break the drawers. So I'm happy about it all. And no external marks to say to anyone aha this is where it is. My only complaint is that the package I bought had 8 locks but only one key. ?????

Needed extra magnets for our Vmaisi links, and the price for these was reasonable. I have locks at two houses. These work fine at our older home with thinner cabinet doors. They aren't strong enough to work on our newer cabinets (which seem to have some kind of metal reinforcement). Kept these anyway because I could use them at one location, but be aware.

I bought these to replace lost Safety 1st keys since they are one third of the price. I was at first annoyed when only one of the three keys seemed to work with the Safety 1st locks. It turns out the two that did not work had the magnet installed backwards inside the plastic housing so the wrong pole was facing out. It was basically "pushing" the lock instead of "pulling" it. If you have issues, try holding the defective key up to a key you know works (like the original Safety First key). If they attract/snap together, the magnet was installed incorrectly as two like magnet poles should repel each other. Just use a small poker to open up the plastic, flip the magnet around, and it should work.

This item’s major flaw is the magnetic unlocking tool is small enough to fit in a child’s mouth and poses a safety/chocking hazard. The overall intent of the system is to provide hidden locks to child proof your home. To that end it works fine. However, it is not completely childproof because the unlocking tool/device needed to open the lock (that is small enough to fit in a child’s mouth) needs to be left out for the parent or caretaker where it is easily found and thus defeats the whole purpose of the hidden childproof lock system. That is, you remove one hazard with the locks and create another hazard with the unlocking device. Design engineers didn’t think this one all the way through. Simple fix would be to make the magnetic unlocking tool 2 to 3 times larger than in current design to remove the choking hazard.

I bought these to use with locks I bought on Amazon in 2016. The magnetic keys were lost, so I needed replacements. The magnets in these are very powerful and they're the correct polarity for the locks I have. It looks like the housing is just a snap-together 2-piece housing, so if they have the wrong polarity for your locks it should be easy to reverse the polarity. The grip is more comfortable than the original keys that came with the locks. I mounted a small brass plate from Lowes on a cabinet next to the sink to keep one of the keys on - they're actually steel plated in brass, so it works great. I prefer that to the self-stick mounts that came with the keys.

Despite starting off with 4 keys from the sets of locks purchased to safeguard our pots and pans against a rambunctious toddler, we were somehow quickly down to 1 (which wasn't ideal). I looked at a few different options, but ultimately settled on these due to the more compact design and competitive price. I was a little concerned about the possibility of the magnets being "under-powered" and requiring a very precise position on the locks to open, but that is definitely not the case. These work every bit as good as the original (Safety 1st) keys. The holders are a nice touch, though we just stick the keys to the dishwasher when not in use. Overall, these work exactly as expected. I'm hoping the 3 new ones don't end up lost as quickly as the originals. These will be my first choice in the event we need more.
