While I was sucked into this story and enjoyed it, the ending has me spiraling. Explain it like I'm five. I went from telling everyone to listen to this, to screaming for an expalination. I am so lost. Casting- 5/5, production- 5/5, plot- LOST AF!! I can't be sure of anything. I may listen again when season 3 releases. I don't know. I'm bogswaddled right now. ... show more

Finally! I've been waiting to listen to season 2 of Impact Winter since I originally finished season 1. My husband and daughter loved season 1 as well and told me I couldn't listen to season 2 without them. Well, I've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for them to make time to listen to me, and I gave up. I finished it in just 4 days, just listening to it in the mornings before starting work. I wasn't disappointed with the performance in season 2, but I will say that season 1 was much, much better. I didn't like the ending very much, but I won't spoil that for you. Just know that it was worth listening to Darcy and Hope again, picking up where they left off in season 1. I loved listening to both seasons in Dolby Atmos with my Soundcore 3 Pro earbuds, I could close my eyes and feel like I was there, hovering over them, seeing, and feeling, everything going on. This is for mature audiences, but it's not overly explicit, in my opinion. I've read some reviews where they mention "the kiss" and to be honest, it didn't bother me at all, although I did chuckle a bit over the sound effects.     • What a crazy ending..the wait is now for season 3

For the most part I enjoyed this second season. In terms of the storyline, it leaves us definitely wanting more. The story revolves mostly around the efforts to find Darcy, and to find and rescue Hope - who has been captured by the bad guys. Darcy is also going through changes and there is widespread knowledge about the Winter Child and we follow along knowing that things are not looking good. The issues I had with this many revolved around the audio version. It was difficult at times to understand what was happening. It felt at times like there was only heavy breathing and other weird sounds that felt extremely forced. Some parts were done brilliantly with just the right level of sound effects, and then others made me want to fast forward - which is not a good thing with an audiobook. With that being said, I am intrigued and am looking forward to season 3 to see how things are going to shake up after the crazy things that happen at the end of this season. ... show more
