I bought a high performance saddle that I have $6500.00 that was made custom to fit my horse and me. problem is it has a rock solid seat that works great except it is killing me..... I even had the maker add some padding $425.00 but still it has me in a hurt locker. I tried some other pads and then bought this. This pad saved my riding, my butt, and my back. I bought this pad for a 4 day, 63 mile ride (Vail to Aspen) which was both technical and strenuous. I am 6 months post hamstring surgery so this ride was close to being cancelled. This saddle cushion was a game changer. I never got sore, even after 8 hours in the saddle. I highly recommend this pad. I really don’t like anything about this. The strap for the pommel is backward and too large so the pad isn’t secure. The back of the pad is held in place by elastic which stretches out and does nothing! The pad is extremely heavy and after 10-20 minutes feels like a rock. The wool matts together so there is NO comfort there. I would never purchase this item again. I’ve only used this pad approximately 15 times for rides around 4 - 17 miles round trip. And I store it in a protected environment. Theres no reason for it to lose comfort from both the gel and the wool. ... show more

I love this. I threw it on my mare today and it stayed put on a slippery saddle. I only trotted and walked, no canter today, but it was perfect. Didn’t move at all and that is what I was afraid of. It was so comfy, I can’t believe it. I couldn’t be happier.
