This portable water heater works very, very well. I actually did a test and was initially disappointed while looking at two different temperature gauges. The problem? The temperature probes were at the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, where the temperature after 16 minutes raised a mere 1° F on the meter, but I felt heat from the bucket so it didn't make sense. So here's my cautionary advice, make sure people understand that the probe, if you're checking the temp, needs to be floating close to the top of whatever receptacle you're using to heat the water so people don't stick their hands in there thinking it's not working, it does! And it does so very well. Unfortunately, both my computer and phone can't upload photos, so I can't show you the pictures I took, so I have to upload everything later. Very frustrating. But, trust me this can heat up water very quickly and the temperature read after bringing the thermometer closer to the top after 16 minutes was 118.7! Very nice. The unit is solidly constructed, and the temperature gauge is about the size of a very small digital stopwatch. It also comes with a little scrubber that I assume is to scrub the calcium deposits off of the heater after numerous uses. Again, sorry for the lack of pictures. But the product is very much worth it and so I very much recommend it. Product recommended!

The media could not be loaded. This definitely works and does what it claims. I filled my sink with 5-6 gallons of lukewarm water and measured the temp (94.3F) before inserting the immersion heater and plugging it in. I dropped the included thermometer into the other side of the sink and let it drop about halfway down. Fourteen minutes later, the temperature on the far side of the sink had been raised 17°. One must understand that different areas in your container will be a different temperature unless you're stirring the water (if that makes sense). The water temperature directly above the heater had been raised 34° in fourteen minutes and was a full 17° higher than the far side of the sink. So, do be careful about where you're putting your hands if you reach into the water after unplugging the heater.

Choose this to heat a small kiddie size pool. Looks sturdy and comes with very specific directions and warnings which I appreciate. You can never be too careful with a product like this. We haven't set up the small pool yet (lots of rain) but I'm definitely looking forward to using this. Will update later in the summer 😊
