It works great to heat the water in my Coleman inflatable hot tub. I submerge the heater without it touching the tub, using a long-handled broom across the width of the hot tub, and wrap the cord around the handle a few times to hold it in place. It comes in handy to get the water up to temperature fast.     • Heats water fast! 25 gallons in 30 minutes!
This works quite well! I'm currently remodeling a home without running water. I have my shower water stored in a 25 gallon Coleman icebox and use a camping shower pump. This heats a full 25 gallons of water from 78°F to 110°F in about thirty minutes! I find that to be pretty impressive! Hot water is a luxury I can have again thanks to this heater! I was kind of worried that this would melt the plastic cooler but no issues so far. Only downside is that this does use a lot of power so keep that in mind.     • Good to have when you need hot water.
My hot water connection is disconnected so I needed a temporary solution to wash my hair. I can see it being useful for heating up water if you’re camping, giving your dog a bath in the backyard or whatever you may need to heat up a big bucket of water. I don’t know why the Chinese can’t hire better translators. It’s amusing to read the instructions. It’s a little scary because you don’t want to get electrocuted so need to remember the proper sequence of adding electric current to the water. ... show more

    • Bring a bucket of water to a boil
It will take about 10 mins to bring a bucket of water to a full boil. Works as it says. I have no used it much, so I cannot speak to its durability. In hindsight, I did not need to buy this so make sure you need this.

Didn't get the thermometer or instructions. Takes entirely to long to heat and an insane amount of power. And the cord is ridiculously short for it to need to be plugged into a wall outlet. Not sure why you'd need to but if all you needed was a gallon of water and you weren't in any hurry, along with needing to supervise it for several hours this MIGHT work. But tubs, pools, etc just isn't going to happen. Extremely disappointed advertising has me expecting more. Its a great idea just needs a bit more work. And better box stuffing. The thermometer alone would of made it worth the purchase. ... show more

    • Great for Hot Tubs
This immersion heater works perfect for hot tubs. I have a Coleman Saluspa and let me tell you, the heater takes forever to get that thing to 104 degrees. When you throw in this immersion heater (make sure it is on a separate circuit) and heat it, it only takes about 6-7 hours from cold. Or overnight if it's real cold. The Coleman stock heater would take a few days to get to temp. I hate to have to feel like I should mention it but, don't dip in your hot tub with this in the water, it's plugged into a socket! ... show more

I have a cabin with a 20-gallon water heater, which is insufficient to fill up our claw-foot tub. With this water heater, we fill the tub with as much hot water as possible, then put it in for about an hour. The result is wonderful 108 degrees water which is perfect for a long soak. Just today, my wife left the heater in the tub too long and the water got to 130 degrees. As a joke, I threw in a couple of carrots and potatoes into the water to make some 'people soup'.
