I have a really hard time with mascara. No matter what brand I buy, no matter how expensive, inevitably, it will smudge down my face after a few hours of wear. It doesn't matter if it's waterproof, it doesn't matter if it says it will stay put for 24 hours... it always smudges. For several years I've been wearing one particular brand that actually stayed put. But of course, the company changed its recipe, and now it just makes me look like a raccoon after a few hours. I searched furiously on the web for something that was going to stay put. This mascara was highly rated. It did not say waterproof and it's listing, and I never believe anybody when they say it is smudge proof. I am thrilled to tell everybody in the world, this mascara is smudge proof! I have worn it for a 12-hour day and it still looks fresh. It does not make me look like a raccoon, it has natural ingredients (which makes me incredibly happy,) and it is not outrageously expensive. My lashes pop and look long and natural. ILIA, you have earned yourself a lifelong customer. Please don't change your formula. Thank you!

I have been cleaning up all my makeup and I just love the Ilia brand. Their mascara is wonderful, lifts and coats evenly and it comes off like a dream - no eye rubbing! Love that it’s clean ingredients you can feel good about. Have rebought 2x now, highly recommend!

I love this mascara. It doesn’t get clumpy and the brush allows for quite a bit of precision. It’s not one where I can just apply one coat and be done with it but I prefer my mascara fornula be one I can build on. Plus it smells really nice!

This is my absolute favorite mascara! I bought this over and over again for the last few years and haven’t gone to any other mascara. The applicator is unmatched, it glides on well to the lashes, and fans out your lashes, like no other Mascara. I will say the only thing I don’t like is that if I rub my eyes or yawn and tear up a little it definitely smudges. But overall, it’s my favorite mascara ever.

I've tried a lot of mascaras and I find that many of them make my eyes sting slightly and feel dry, so I've been looking for a more natural product. This mascara is it. My eyes don't sting after applying and I like the way it makes my lashes look. I will buy again.

I have to wear contacts and due to this have chosen not to wear mascara in quite sometime. Oftentimes mascara becomes hard and flaky and little pieces flake into my eye thus irritating my contacts. Not this mascara! It glides on very easily and does not flake through the day. My contacts have zero irritation. Another great factor is removing it is simple. There’s no need to rub the lashes or the need to use makeup remover. Simple face wash or even soap and water is sufficient which I love! Strongly recommend this product! Best part of all is it looks great and gives you a natural “awake” look!

Before I go all negative on it, I can say for sure that the look it gives you is natural and AMAZING. I honestly wasn’t going to do a review on this mascara since i had stopped using it but as someone who wears 5 different mascara religiously (every single day), it would be a disservice to the girlies to not to do one. First thing, ITS NOT SMUDGE/WATER/DUSTPROOF. I wore it to see Inside Out 2 (where i cried), the mascara itself looks really great, especially because the brush has 2 different volume settings allowing me to mix and match my lashes but by the end of the movie I wiped my eye and there was nothing there. Like absolutely nothing. As much as it is a great advantage in taking your makeup off flawlessly, it’s not the best mascara if you’re an eye rubber or regular tear dropper. I work 12 hour shifts and use this mascara on my bottom lashes, not even 3 hours into my shift i see mascara dots on my under eye.. anyways. Second thing. Smell is so bad. That’s it. that’s the end of the sentence. that’s how bad the smell is. One thing i will say is, if you accidentally poke yourself or get it in your actual eye, you’ll be okay. overall ilia gets a 4/10 for me. I’ve tried 30 mascara at this point and ilia is just not the mascara for me. I hope you have better luck!

I just tried the mascara once, but so far I like it. It is drier than others that I have used, but much less likely to clump and it looks more natural.
