This is the second time I've purchased these racks. I'm a hobby woodworker so I could have easily made something similar. But, for the cost, about $10 per unit, and, considering the time required making them, these seemed like a good deal for me. There doesn't seem to be any way anymore to include photos so I'll just try to describe as best as possible. The spice rack I made attaches to the back of a panty door. I actually hung it from the top of the door so no holes were required in the door . Using 6 of these racks, I attached each rack end to a 1 X 4 X 48" pine board with screws. My recent application was to make a "canned goods" storage unit using 8 of these racks. Again, I attached 1 X 4 boards on each end of the racks. This unit is about 72" tall and just sits on the floor against another tall pantry cabinet. I did attach the top of the unit to the top of the pantry cabinet to prevent tip-over. The overall quality of the racks is good. Don't expect "furniture-quality" material, but, the wood is nearly blemish free and very acceptable. Holes and parts fit well together. Assembly is super easy and the required Allen head wrench is included. The "bar" at the front keeps things from falling off. For the spice rack version, I DID make a unit back. The canned goods version didn't need a back since it rests against the cabinet I attached it to. These racks might also be candidates for small parts/material storage for a craft or garage area. ... show more

Don't buy these. They aren't like the usual Ikea ones and they're shorter then what they are listed as. They are extremely wobbly and fall apart easily.

Very nice spice rack but would have been even better if wall mounting screws had been included. Also, the front holding bar could be a little lower in order to read spice labels.

I own 4 of these in my 1 bedroom 0 closet 1 drawer apartment -_- They are great for little nicknacks that might otherwise disappear. We use two in our “utility” area to hold compressed air, flashlights, glue, stain remover etc We have one in the kitchen as a spice rack and one out on a ledge upside down holding up our AC. What i’m saying is they are cheap, highly versatile, and easy to assemble. The only complaint I have is they come with 0 hardware to mount them and finding a screw that fits is pretty hard because it’s slightly too small for a standard wood screw. Other than that 10/10 but def get and save a few extra of the screw that fits to mount them or you’ll be kicking yourself ... show more

First off, these most likely would've been slightly cheaper straight from Ikea. However, I don't want to break up with my boyfriend so I decided to get them from Amazon. (trips to Ikea are known to break relationships) I had been looking for spice racks for quite some time, one of my friends uses these as nail polish holders in her bathroom. They work great! I love that I can adjust the shelf height as well as placement. Hardware came with for install, we did wind up but different drywall anchors though. These are quite plain shelves which means you can paint, stain, colour to your hearts content. I used a dark walnut stain that we have used in our kitchen table, coffee table, one of the hardwood floors, etc. I didn't wind up using varnish or polyurethane which I might down the road. The nice thing with stain it that it does seal and protect to an extent. We aren't using these to eat off of so stain is sufficient. It was exceptionally easy to put together on my own. No man needed for extra strength. I use them only for savory spices at the moment. I use a built in spice rack in the cabinets for baking things. These have lasted for over a year with no problem and I loved being able to adjust the height and design. Well worth it and easy to put together and customize! ... show more

Yes, these are cheaper at IKEA, but I don't live near enough an IKEA to buy them in person, and after paying IKEA's shipping cost, these end up about the same price and Amazon ships MUCH faster. (IKEA purchased generally take 7-14 business days to reach me, and these shipped PRIME 2-day via Amazon). I needed specific shelving for my bathroom, and after shopping locally and online, these seemed the best suited to my needs. they work perfectly in my newly remodeled bathroom to store things that are normally kept cluttering counterspace and keeping them OFF of my countertop. They are sturdy and wide enough to fit four mason jars, which is excellent. I currently have two shelves, the bottom one holding the kids cups, toothbrushes and toothpastes, the second holding the daily toiletries my husband and I use. We will be buying more to add a third shelf for decorative items to round out the look and likely even more for storage for my older daughter to keep around her bunk bed. (she is on the top bunk). A few coats of spray paint and these are fully customizable. Turn one upside down to use as a shelf AND a towel rack (or necklace holder, etc) ... show more

I'm in love with these racks that I used as book shelves in my son's room. Extremely easy to assemble- took me about 25 min to put 4 together. They were also really easy to paint, it went on very well. My only complaint is there was one slot on one of them that had a defect so when I went to hang it up it caused me quite a fuss (and a lot of frustration). I could get the screw into the slot while holding the rack, but I could not get it to go in the slot while the screw was in the wall. Therefore I tried filing the defected edge of the slot down so the screw would slide in like it should, but that didn't work. I ended up holding the screw in the slot and then jamming it into an anchor in the wall with my palm (if that makes sense). Wasn't what I wanted to do, but it worked and has held up so far. I absolutely love these shelves and am seriously thinking about getting another 2 pack. They’re the perfect size to fit just the right amount of books without being too much. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. We used a drill to make it a smoother process.
