The rug has rubber backing so it won't slide around. The texture feels very nice and smooth. The colors are soft but have a subtle sheen. My family, including the dog, liked it immediately. I really appreciated that there was no smell when I took it out of the box. A+!

I bought this rug for what is displayed as muted tan and blue. Make sure you know that the white/red is more white with blues and alot of pink.

This rug. has a very nice vintage design and is beautiful colors. I initially got this rug to use in a bedroom as the product description noted that it is fluffy however the rug is not fluffy or soft at all whatsoever. The material of the rug is a more corse texture, similar to what I would expect of a runner rug, entryway rug, outdoor rug, etc. and not a rug for a bedroom or living room. Lucky for me the design of the rug fits perfectly for a back entryway of my home so I am using it there for now. It is nice that the rug is washable however I have not tried to wash it yet so hopefully it withholds. To note, the rug comes folded however once laid flat for a few days the creases in the rug disappear. The blue shades in the rug are a little more along the lines of green/turquoise shades of blue and the lighter shades as well as the tan shades are nice complimentary colors. The rug is thin but I have not had any issues with it sliding out of place on tile floor or anyone tripping on it when walking over it. Although this rug is not soft as I was expecting it, so far I am happy with it overall. ... show more

I got this rug to put on a stage for spoken word performances. It's about the thickness of a thick tablecloth so it's not going to provide much cushioning or sound dampening. But its thinness makes it easy to fold, transport, store, and wash. The top is a textured print with stitching on the edges. The bottom has a thin rubberized surface to keep it from moving too easily. If you're looking for a real rug, this isn't it. Though the surface is textured, you can tell it's a print.
