It is easy to transfer the songs using a computer with a cd drive with the included flash drive USB and C and the 32 g memory card It is so easy to use especially since my Dad is blind the on and off button is easy to find and so is the volume switch on the side. A family member with Alzheimer's had stopped listening to music because the stereo became too complicated to operate. I made a playlist of "Jump Jive and Wail" songs from the 40's & 50's. When she listened to the music she started singing along remembering most of the verses from every song and that really elevated her mood. Recently she moved into assisted living. I got an MP3 player and speaker so she could listen there. Then realized how complicated it would be for her to operate and troubleshoot. I found this player online and bought it. I transferred the playlist to it. Now when she wants to listen to music it is as easy as off and on. If she forgets which way the toggle goes, just press it and the music turns off or on. She listens all the time. This was a great purchase because it delivers, just one step to turn it on or off. BTW, the sounds is very good. There is a dial on the side for the volume but she doesn't adjust the volume. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The iGuerburn Simple Music Player for Dementia Elderly Seniors player is very simple to use once the music is downloaded. We struggled at first because we downloaded a CD to the music player app on our computer. It was difficult trying to convert it to the right format though. We were able to accomplish this but then figured out we can download CD's to itunes and drag them right in the file and it automatically converted it to the correct format. It is also easy purchasing music on itunes and dragging it to the file to be used in this music player. I think this will be a nice gift for my 92 year old mother. ... show more

This was purchased for our great aunt's 99th birthday. We gave it to her early so she could enjoy it. She listens to it everyday and sings along. We downloaded songs from her era and she said it was the best gift she ever received. She's still trying to figure out how so many songs can fit in there and how you can get songs into this box lol. ... show more

    • Works great but don't expect it to work well long-term.
This item was great for my Mom, who has dementia. Note the "was". We colored the OFF switch black, with a permanent marker, to make it more visible for her. We could put her favorite music on it. BUT my complaints are 2-fold. Cost and longevity are only 1star. It's a very inexpensive item to make but they charge over 100.00 for it. After 14 months it just quit working. It was never moved or dropped or anything like that. It just sat on her dresser and was turned on in the mid-morning and off in the early evening. We rarely moved the volume knob. I wouldn't mind replacing it after a year but the cost is rather steep for buying a new one 14 months. They offered me 20% off a new one but that's still pretty expensive if it will only last 14 months as well. I'm disappointed to say the least. I would expect at least 50% off a replacement and had hoped for a free replacement. I'm sure they could fix this problem if they wanted to. Just write it off as another disposable item that our society likes to fill the landfill up with. At least it smaller and cheaper than a refrigerator or a car. ... show more

Got this for my wife who is in memory care, since she can't operate a phone or a radio any more. This allows her to listen to a stream of songs she cares about, in good fidelity. The build quality and sound are excellent, the design shows a lot of thought from someone who understands the difficulties of dementia, and the memory card is large enough to hold 1000's of songs if desired. I added about 150 which appears to be adequate in terms of not repeating too often. ... show more
