This is working very well for my mother who has dementia. She’s able to turn it on and off on her own and because the skip button and volume are the same color as the player she doesn’t realize they are there and doesn’t mess with it. She’s very hard of hearing and doesn’t wear her hearing aids anymore so I was worried it wouldn’t be loud enough but it definitely is. It did take me a bit to figure out that the micro chip you put into the USB stick comes INSIDE the player itself. So you have to take that out first, put it in the USB, then put the USB into your computer to put the music on it. Once on you remove the USB from your computer, remove the little micro disk from inside it and place it back in the player. I do wish there was a way to shuffle the songs songs now and then without removing the card and reordering on a computer just so I don’t have to listen to the same order all the time. Haha. But she doesn’t remember what’s coming next and loves having her music back in her life.

This is such a great “radio” as my 96 yr old father calls it. The best kind of radio that only plays the music he likes with our commercials!! If you have a bunch of cds this is a fantastic option. It is easy to transfer the songs using a computer with a cd drive with the included flash drive USB and C and the 32 g memory card It is so easy to use especially since my Dad is blind the on and off button is easy to find and so is the volume switch on the side. He is thrilled with the quality of the sound. We have not used the headphone option but it is located on the back. I purchased a couple of extra memory cards to switch out the music.

This item was great for my Mom, who has dementia. Note the "was". We colored the OFF switch black, with a permanent marker, to make it more visible for her. We could put her favorite music on it. BUT my complaints are 2-fold. Cost and longevity are only 1star. It's a very inexpensive item to make but they charge over 100.00 for it. After 14 months it just quit working. It was never moved or dropped or anything like that. It just sat on her dresser and was turned on in the mid-morning and off in the early evening. We rarely moved the volume knob. I wouldn't mind replacing it after a year but the cost is rather steep for buying a new one 14 months. They offered me 20% off a new one but that's still pretty expensive if it will only last 14 months as well. I'm disappointed to say the least. I would expect at least 50% off a replacement and had hoped for a free replacement. I'm sure they could fix this problem if they wanted to. Just write it off as another disposable item that our society likes to fill the landfill up with. At least it smaller and cheaper than a refrigerator or a car.

The media could not be loaded. This is probably the best thing I have bought for my mom since her dementia got really bad. It is so easy for her to use, she pretty much cant do it wrong. The video shows all the buttons, and you can load whatever music you like. She will randomly go in her room just to listen to the music, it is really heartwarming to see on camera.
