If you have a 3s to 6s battery and a phone or tablet that needs charging, this little gem is invaluable. My wife and I use it almost continuously on long, remote sailing cruises. We fully charge both our handheld backup GPS and SAT phone at least 4 times on a single 4s battery. It's not water proof, but the harsh saltwater environment does not seem to affect it. 2 cons that I can think of: One, you must monitor your battery and be careful not to discharge past its recommended low voltage. Two, it does get a bit hot. Not hot enough to damage anything, but hot enough to make you wonder if it should be that hot! ... show more

I'd say this is a must for any hobbyist that uses LiPo batteries. Nothing is worse than going home with a few fully charged batteries that you know will take 45 minutes on the charger just to discharge back to storage voltage. I use this thing instead to discharge my batteries and it works great. Personally I use this to charge mostly my phone and portable power banks. Was trying to power an LED fan that draws ~25W inrush and the converter would shut down when powered from a 4s battery at less than full charge. Works fine with 5s or 6s batteries. Similarly, it will charge your phone but you won't get fast charge power below 15v or so. This makes sense and the product is safe and predictable (doesn't get too hot even if run for hours) but this was not as advertised. ... show more

Works well. It seems to not current limit on the 5v, so quick charge works on my OnePlus phone. Only minor drawback is that this is buck only, not buck-boost, so to change a laptop needing 20v, you need a 6s pack.

Pros: -Inexpensive -XT60 input with flexible input voltage. -USB-C and USB-A ports -Great power output from USB-C PD. It sustained > 40w max output from my measurement. Cons: -Gets a little hot -A more sturdy housing would be nice
