Unfortunately, when you see the reviews this part is subjective in its reviews. The material is questionable. I don't expect this to last 5 years. That should be the minimum warranty. Its from China so ....

I've gone through several different kayak covers over the years. This one definitely isn't heavy duty but it's decent quality considering the $37.99 price point (at the time of this review). I got the next size larger than my 11 foot kayak so there's some extra material on either end but I like to leave my seat and accessories attached so I wanted a little extra room. There's elastic on both ends so it stays put while you're putting it on and there are nylon straps and buckles that attach across the bottom to securely hold it in place for storage. The material feels sort of thin but I haven't had any tips or tears yet so it's holding up well so far. If you're going to be putting the cover on and off frequently I don't know that it's going to hold up all that well but it's been holding up for me so far. For this price point I think it's a decent cover and can recommend it...for now anyway.

I was a bit skeptical about this cover, and wondered how well it would really fit my boat, but was very pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of a fitted sheet, since it has elastic around the perimeter, so you can fit it over a relatively wide range of shapes and sizes on top, and then it tucks gently underneath, all the way around. I have a 9'5" Jackson Rogue and a 9'5" Perception Tribe, and there was plenty of room to spare (I could almost fit both boats into it together if I tried). It also has 3 straps with buckles that you can clip on underneath for added security and protection. The fabric is light but strong, and it comes with a carrying case / pocket so you can fold it back up and store it when not in use. Recommended.

I’m an avid kayaker and former kayak instructor who has a lot of experience maintaining kayaks. My boat storage is outdoors, which means kayak covers are important because one or two seasons of leaving a nice boat out in the elements can trash it. UV damage is real! Plus, who likes to clear out water, bugs and debris on a regular basis? Not me. My old cover (similar style, different brand) lasted a few years and while it was still structurally intact, it had faded out and I was worried it wouldn’t last another season. Enter this cover. It’s a lighter weight material than my previous one but it is still decent quality; about average for this level of item. I expect this will last 1-3 years depending on where you live, if it is sun exposed the whole time, if you have freezing temperatures etc. The product comes in a small carry sack (see photo). It has 3 straps that consist of snap buckles on webbing (see photo) which you adjust to tighten the cover around the kayak. It does have elastic around the edge of the cover but that does not adjust. It is shown on a Wilderness Systems 135 sea kayak (13.5 ft) with the seat back fully upright and the rudder tucked up. This is a narrow kayak and I had to really cinch it down. The cover is generously cut and could have handled a longer boat. (I got the one appropriate for a 13.5 ft kayak.) The only potential issue is because it isn’t taught, rainwater can pool on top of the cover in the cockpit area. I have had many a cover with this issue—it isn’t unique to this one. This product, in my opinion, would be great for a medium rec kayak or a medium sit on top, which are both wider than most sit-in sea kayaks. I think it would be a hard fit for a big canoe, and river boats would be lost in it. Overall, I recommend this as a medium-duty cover.

Ordered two of these and 1 arrived without the carry pouch/bag. I only ordered these because of these storage pouches/ bags since it was an added feature. I haven't had a chance to use the product yet but disappointed that didn't receive the 2nd pouch/ bag.
