This is a great product. It is extremely heavy duty including the stitched straps and zippers. It sustained very heavy winds while driving across the country and appeared new at the end of the trip. The license plate holder is very well designed. I would give it 10 starts if I could.

This iCOVER Bike Cover for Transport with Magnetic Towing Light & License Plate Pocket is perfect for me. I got the 1-2 bike cover and it easily covered my MTB & road bikes. It may even fit a 3rd narrow handlebar bike, but I did not try it. The material is great. Heavy Duty 800D Ripstop. You can feel the thickness. It comes with 11 attached straps to snug up the loose cover so you have little material to flap about while driving. This is way more straps than my previous one. It also comes with a nice shock cord cargo net to solidify the loose cover even more. This is different than the bungee cords they mention, however it is a better solution. I inquired with the supplier as to the intended placement, and they sent pictures showing the cargo net stretched over the entire back & sides, pulling together and clipping on to itself at the front (car side). That makes sense to gather all the excess material. I had not got that far as you can see from my photo of my attempt. They really stretch the net. I really like how the cover completely surrounds the bikes and the bike rack. No dust or debris to get on the bikes. Tying off at the trailer hitch can be tricky, just because of the tight quarters there. I had to lay on my back to get the short Velcro closure mated at the very bottom. The set also comes with a "free" set of trailer lights. They are basically ones you would mount on a car end while towing, as the individual lights have big magnet bases. It has a standard 4 pin electrical hookup. The lights are to sit in 2 net pockets that are sewn onto the cover and strapped in. I am a bit leery of this setup, so I think I may build a little board with padding and mount the lights on that. Great idea to solve the covering up the car taillights. The lights do not come with any storage case or bag though. I recommend looking carefully how the cover was packaged (folded), as you will want to replicate that in order to put it into the supplied storage bag. Overall, I am very happy with the cover and how the excess material is handled for road trips.

2024-04-28. Bike cover by iCOVER. Magnetic towing lights. License plate pocket. Heavy Duty. 800D ripstop. for 1-2 bikes on rack. I ordered this because on a recent road trip, we encountered some inclement weather which resulted in requiring me to do the some maintenance to the bikes (greasing washing the chain, rust proofing the screws, etc.) Despite my efforts to weatherproof everything, I still saw a rust spot forming on day 5 of our road trip. When I saw this bag, I immediately thought that it would have been perfect if I had it. The cover is large enough to fit over 2 bicycles for platform style hitch racks and 4 bicycles for mast style hitch racks. The cover is Polyester. The unit of measure is DENIER and refers to the fibers weight and thickness. In general the higher the number, the heavier and thicker the yarn used in the material's construction. As a reference 600D is the most common weight used in bags. And you probably guessed it, the higher the weight of the same fabric, the stronger it is. e.g. 700D is heavier and stronger than 600D. Being polyester, the fibers (yarn) themselves are naturally waterproof, but when woven may not be depending on how tightly knit they are. This cover is woven tight enough that water will not seep through making it waterproof. The 800D weight also makes this cover windproof and abrasion resistant. Lastly, they coated it with a UV protective layer to help prevent fading and sun damage. But best of all, it's made with ripstop. This is the process of weaving threads throughout the fabric and preventing tears from spreading should they occur. The cover also comes with a built in pocket for your license plate. A well thought out detail since rear plates are mandatory anywhere in North America. As a bonus iCOVER has also included a set up brake lights and customized the bag to accommodate them. The brakes lights hook up via a regular 4-pin connector and can be strung through the loops built right into the bag. The only detail they missed here is that some states like California require a license plate lamp and with the plate in the pocket, there is no light illuminating it after dark. There are also reflectors sewn into this bag to meet that Cali reg. though. Lastly, also included with this bicycle cover kit are a couple of bungee cords. This helps to hold down any excess material and prevent wind gust from catching underneath and blowing your cover away. The cover is quite large and can accommodate bicycles of 80" end to end (tire to tire), the depth at the top is 36" and the depth at the bottom is 18" when cinched. The height of the cover is 50" from top to bottom. These dimensions allow it to fit around most bicycles, and since it is designed for you to pull over the top of your bikes so that the zipper faces down, it's size appropriately with the 50"W to go over your handlebars. The seller' pictures show the application with platform style hitch racks, but I own a mast-style hitch rack and it worked for me! Lastly, this cover comes also comes with some extra material to cover the hitch rack too! The cover and the net are quite heavy, which is a testament to the weight of the materials used. But what good is a review without pointing out any critical elements? Well, there weren't many, but I did think about of couple of concerns. 1. The cover doesn't breath very well, they could have added some side pockets for venting. This improvement is a little weak I know, because if you add vents, it contradicts keeping it waterproof. But this is not true, they can design the vents in a way that keep it waterproof (similar to patio furniture covers.) 2. While you can secure it fully with the drawstring, there is no way of locking this cover in place. I was thinking they could have added some large rivet rings to the bottom where you could have fished a cable through, cinched it up and locked it. This way, if you're at a hotel, there's no worry that your bikes will be stolen if left on the rack overnight. Overall, this bag is exactly what I was looking for, I just wish I had the foresight of getting it before my last road trip. It's well designed in terms of size and application. It's functional and effective for the most part, and it's of excellent quality in terms of materials and construction. The only reservation I have is that it retails for $110, which is insanely high in my opinion. I'm giving this bike cover by iCOVER 4 stars because of the inability to secure the cover to deter theft. If I was only using this for day trips, this bike cover will be an easy 5 stars.

This is a high quality bike cover and you’ll know it by the weight of the material. This is a heavy cover compared to some of those cheaper “plastic” lightweight models. Fits my 2 e-bikes nicely. Zippers are good and seem to be seen in well . No complaints at all.

This is large enough to cover both bikes, one of which is an ebike. The material is really strong and durable, it held up well over a long trip that included rain and a strong storm. It comes with tie-downs and the cover itself has many areas that you can connect to. I also like the cover section that goes over the hitch to keep wind resistance down. The license plate area is a great addition and I got no problems on the trip with a paper copy of the plate being in there. The only criticism I have is the light set that was included is really kind of cheap. I mean, it's not a deal breaker because it's easy enough to replace it with a nicer LED lightbar set up, and it was nice of them to try to include a light set in the first place. Overall though, this is a great cover and should last for a long, long time.
