  • Worth the higher price
Color: Khaki
The latch handles are contoured so they don’t cut into your hand Closing puts considerable force on your hand. Some low cost designs have a thin metal blade which can hurt. The cot is quiet when you roll and move. The high position makes it so much easier to get out of and to put shoes on. I feared the three leg design wouldn’t be stable compared to four leg designs. No concern. Sitting up or down naturally positions the body over the middle legs so it is stable. The three leg design has fewer parts to assemble or lose. I’m a side sleeper and found it comfortable. If a cot is too concave, it can be uncomfortable for a side sleeper. The 900D fabric should result in less stretching and sagging than lower D fabrics, often 300D in low cost cots. I have plenty of clearance from the bows. A Therma-rest Z light original pad fits perfectly. The cot was comfortable without the pad, but the pad keeps cold away and adds to comfort. Assembly was easy once I figured out the bows were packed the bag with the legs pointing the wrong way. Simply slide apart and slide on facing the right way. Some nice touches: Directions are on a tag sewn on the bag. The bag is large enough to fit everything without a struggle. All components except leg extensions have shock cord so parts won’t get separated and lost. If a shock cord breaks, it appears it can still be assembled and function unlike some cots I considered. I especially like the light weight without loss of sturdiness and quality. One thing I would change is to have the pocket located on the right side of the cot so it is accessible with the right hand when a right handed person rolls on their left shoulder to reach with their right hand. Check your tent size. On my 7’x7’ footprint 3 person tent, with the cot in the 15” high position, it pushes against the tent sides out a couple inches due to the slope of the tent sides. Headroom when lying down may be low unless the cot is moved to an optimum position in the tent. ... show more

  • Saved my back
Color: Black
Went on a 2 wks trip. I have a bad back and cannot sleep on soft bed. This saved my back. With only about 7lbs. It is light enough and small enough to pack in my luggage without taking up too much weight and space. Compact enough to fit in the hotel room. Easy to setup and tear down. Solid build. It will be hard for me to not bring it to other trips. Kids liked it better than the hotel beds too and wanted to take it from me. Will look to get another one. ... show more

  • Decent cot with some nice additions.
Color: Khaki
My purpose for purchasing this cot is for the times when I go car camping and end up in a tent with our scout troop. I typically use a hammock shelter as my aging body can’t handle the ground dwelling anymore but the few times I end up with the troop camping in a location that is void of trees to hand from and I’m forced into a tent, this will make it more comfortable. The good: it’s big enough for me as a 5’11” 200# man to lay on comfortably (though I will end up using an inflatable mattress on top to help add additional comfort). It has a side pocket setup that will come in handy for my phone, flash light and other bedside necessities. It has the ability to be setup with out the leg extensions if height inside the tent is a concern. It has a clip on net for under it to put your shoes or other under bed storage items onto. It has a zippered pouch at the head end that can store the frame poles when not assembled or be stuffed with clothes or other materials to create a pillow. The bad: it’s heavy (at least by my standards as i am an ultra light backpacker), but for car camping it’s just fine. It takes some reasonable force/muscle strength to assemble. Maybe this will change as it is used more. ... show more

  • Excellent Investment
Color: Khaki
Shame I didn’t have this 7 years ago! I topped the cot with a thin blowup pad, then my sleeping bag, and slept well. The ICECO cot is easy to carry due to breaking down into a small bundle, easy to set up, light weight compared to other cots, sturdy, well made, and the perfect height from the ground for sitting and pushing off to stand. I’m a 68 year old woman with bad knees yet I still like to rough camp (tent). This cot made my last 2 trips comfortable. One of the Best camp gear I’ve spent $$ on! Thank you for this product. ... show more

  • Nice thought
Color: Khaki
Comfortable & convenient. I weigh a lot less than what it calls for. 1st use a leg broke which bent the main frame. Maybe for someone else it works. At least they refunded my money. They also let me keep the product. So I will see if I can make it work. Cloth is in tact, poll bent. But it does not take up much space. I will find a use for the parts. Thanks anyway. ... show more

  • I can now sleep comfortably in a tent, thank you!!
Color: Black
I don't just like this cot, I LOVE it! It was recommended by a fellow adventure motorcycle rider and I am blown away with how comfortable it is! It assembles and packs easily and quickly, is incredibly strong and durable and makes tent camping a whole new experience. Highly recommend!

  • Cot is fine. Bag is absolute trash.
Color: Black
I bought this for a backpacking trip in red rock territory. I had the cot tied to the bottom of my pack frame and was scrambling up and down smooth sandstone, sometimes needed to scoot on my butt due to the elevations that needed to be traversed. After my first night, I saw the bag was already showing small holes in it. By the second day, the holes were bigger. By the third, the zipper physically broke as well. This bag is not able to endure one, 2 night, rigorous backpacking outing. Which sort of defeats the point of using it for backpacking. For the cot itself, it is heavy. It's strong enough it seems for the two nights I slept on it and it is compact. It's weight is an issue when every ounce counts. I do like that it kept me higher off the ground. And it was reasonable for comfort. In hindsight, I think I would have liked an air mattress with it to add extra comfort. I would say this is better when weight isn't an issue, but space is. Like camping out of a car, but the car is small. Maybe using a 4 wheeler to get to your camping site. It wasn't too hard to assemble, but having stronger male hands makes a difference. For reference on the size and comfort, I am a 45 year old, 5'8" male. 165 pounds. ... show more
