Comparable products that simulate the rocker and balance of a skate blade cost 3-10 times the as much. This is sturdy and doesn't change shape under adult weight. Even a 330lb man tried it out, spinning easily, without damaging or bending it and although it was too short for his size 15 feet it is perfect for a womens size 11 foot and down. Do not wear smooth socks or tights when using. For best rocker feel or skate blade feel use barefoot and not with shoes. Most of the pictures show smaller kids using and we were worried it would be too small or not simulate the rocker or blade edges for an adult, but it did. I wasn’t making progress on a traditional ballet spinner, so I purchased this instead and it is much more similar to the rocker on figure skates. The only downside is that you have to use it on hard floor, no carpet. Make sure to use it in an open space. You get speed very easy but it’s slippery and easy to go flying if you fall. This is great for practicing my inside and outside three turns as well as working on spinning positions. I skate on inline figure skates which in my opinion are a bit trickier than ice skate blades, but the technique is the same. I have both an edea and this spinner and can confirm it is equally as good in terms of performance. I cannot speak to longevity over years, but at this price I think that's fine. Wish there were more colors or designs but that doesn't really matter here. Get one even if you're unsure on using one this is so inexpensive and I'm 100% certain if you are working on spins you will see the improvements for two and one foot spins (roller skates) ... show more
