Based on how much I paid I say this item is worth it! It takes about 7 minutes to begin making ice, and almost 30mins-1hr to make the whole batch of ice. It’s easy to clean. Makes perfect size nugget ice.

It heats up after a week or so we have to turn it off to let it cool down the heat gets so bad that not even ice stays solid melts right away after we plug it back in and it makes ice again

The unit looks nice, but it's noisy and SLOW, and by the time the ice gets down to the holder it is melting. Great for people that don't actually want any ice! Maybe one cup (measuring cup) of ice per hour? And to save that ice from melting you better get it out and use it fast or save it in the freezer. I do not feel the output matches the seller's description. My mom suggested we flip a coin to see who got ice in their drink. I'm 10 miles from town, but at this rate it would be faster and more productive to drive to the convenience store that has the "good ice", fill up several big cups and bring it home. I decided to get it as the reviews were so positive, but I cannot believe anyone would be thrilled with the output of this machine. I might have enough for an ice pack in a few days. I spent $127 after tax and unfortunately I opened it too late to return it.

Can't even lie, super impressed with this little guy. I got it as a gift for my mother, she's a big ice cruncher and huge fan of the "sonic ice" nuggets. This this is perfect! It's tiny size doesn't take up much kitchen space and it still manages to keep up with her. It can get a little loud sometimes but is super easy to set up, use, and clean.
