Works as intended, seems to be well made, stainless finish seems to be durable, and the machine measures as described. It is pretty quiet, and didn't put off much heat. It worked quickly and seemed efficient. Clear and well written instructions are included. There are several reminders to allow unit to sit upright for 24 hours minimum before turning on for the first time. Also advised are: to clean throughly before first use, ensure drain plug is inserted fully, discard the first three cycles of ice produced, and change water every three days or clean unit throughly before storing for extended periods. Instructions for cleaning the machine with vinegar or commercial solutions are given. Operation is simple: Pour water directly into the unit (main compartment below ice basket), power on, select ice size (small or large), then wait. First batch of 6 large cubes (bullet shape), was done within 8 minutes of turning the unit on. Subsequent batches were done in about the same interval, and 6 cubes were produced each time. Once a batch of ice was done being made, it was delivered to the removable ice basket automatically by an integrated lift/conveyor. Once the ice bin was full, an audible beep sounded. Additional Notes: Ice did begin to melt once it was sitting in the basket, but the melted ice drips right into the water reservoir so more ice can be made from it.

Pretty good for a dorm or small family. It makes two types of ice. Just be sure and clean it often. You can see floaties in the reservoir and know it needs cleaning. It’s also not silent, so make sure to have a spot for it that won’t interfere with your sleep. Overall, it’s a good little machine but will need pretty constant refilling since the water is added manually.
