This is the cutest little sun hat and good quality. I never measured my child’s head for size, but she’s very tall for her age at 18 months old, so I got the 2T-4T size. Always better to get larger when dealing with fast growing children. The size fits her well with room to grow. I can’t imagine a 4T wearing this though. It looks like it might be tight at that age. I like that this sun hat has a tie for under the chin to fit different size children. Our last sun hat had velcro that dangled uselessly under her chin and was easy to pull off. I have my daughter wear this hat at the pool to reduce sun glare and protect her scalp from sun burn. It’s done fine with pool water. I’ve already washed it once and it came out fine. I did hang dry it because I was worried to put it in the dryer. The only thing that appears to not work, is around the head part of the hat is a pull string so you can tighten the hat to fit your child’s head. But the push button to lock the string in place is too weak to actually hold it, so it just lets back out. I still gave five stars because you don’t really need that. As long as you use the chin tie the hat still fits fine.

Doesn’t fit well. My toddler is two and no matter how tight I make the hat the tiniest gust of wind will blow it off her head. It’s cute, light weight and soft, but it’s very annoying and frustrating trying to make it fit without coming off so easily. Kinda useless.

I will start by saying that I had a hat just like this from I play 5 years ago with my son. So I was going to get a couple of them for my twin girls for summer. Either we received a Chinese knock off or I play itself changed manufacturer, but the hats I got are smaller then they used to be 5 years ago although the size stated on the tag is the same. Material is thinner and feels more plastic, sewing job is flimsy. I returned my 1st oreder and ordered again, same result. I am very disappointed and won't be buying summer hats from I play again

I REALLY wanted to keep this hat for my daughter...the pattern is SO CUTE!!! But at 3 years old with a 99th percentile head, the 2-4yr size just wasn't big enough. It was as if the bowl shaped part of the hat wasn't deep enough. I was surprised because my experience with the 9-18m size hat was that it ran big. If your kid's head is on the small size then these hats are great. The brim is nice and wide enough to keep the sun out of their face and off of their neck!

Ordered this hat late Friday night & it was on my doorstep by lunchtime on Monday. Bought the 0-6 month size for my daughter who is 2 months old. It fits a little loose around the head but with her being so young that's to be expected. Tying the strings solves the problem. The brim is large and floppy so it does an excellent job blocking sun on her face, ears & neck. The fabric is very soft, no scratchy materials to irritate baby's sensitive skin. I absolutely adore the print; bright, colorful & the jellyfish design makes it unique. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Very cute hat but sizing is misleading. I bought the proper size according to their sizingbforbmy 2 5 year old and it runs a bit small. It is wide enough, but the cap portion of the hat is too shallow and keeps sliding off. It definitely doesn't stay in when my daughter is active.
