I’ve had this little unit helping me out for 3-4 days now around the clock, and have found it reliable and a great fit for my need to have on-demand access to warmed bed buddies (heavy warm compresses) every couple hours night and day without making constant trips to the microwave. I love that the temp of the warm packs is not scalding, but feels good to the touch right away, and also find that newly added packs feel warm after 15-20 minutes. I was initially concerned when the On switch light went out after a short while, but since learned the switch glows when the heating element is toggled on according to the internal temperature. I’m using a pair of kitchen tongs to reach inside, since the basket is too hot to touch and too thin to easily remove when fully loaded with heavy hot packs. It’s not a large capacity but I can fit 4 bed buddies in at a time, and that is plenty for my purposes. So far, there haven’t been any condensation drops from the hot packs, but I’m glad there is a way to catch them. All around, I’m a huge fan of this item!! ... show more

The description says that wet towels can get up to 158 degrees F. Mine didn't seem to get that hot, but perhaps they were. The towels that I tried were moist and certainly felt warm, but they didn't ever feel hot. I've used other towel warmers that got towels hotter. The outer case is plastic, which I don't mind at all. I had another one with a metal exterior, and I prefer the feel of the plastic. It also insulates better than the metal did. This unit is smaller than I had envisioned in my mind, but I always get thrown off by volume even when I know the dimensions. So, be sure to check the dimensions, and it's kind of small depending on what you want it for. For me, it's perfect because I don't want to warm more than a couple of towels at a time, so I don't need a large unit. It's incredibly simple to operate. You plug it in, turn on the power switch, and...that's it. It will automatically turn the heater on and off depending on the temperature. It also has a UV light switch that, well, I have no idea if it does anything because I'm sure the light won't come on if the door is open. I did flip that switch with the door open, but I didn't notice any glow or anything. I'll trust them, but I didn't order it for sanitizing so it's not a big deal to me. I just wanted to warm up some towels. Where this and other towel warmers differ (in a good way) from simply using a microwave is that they automatically control the temperature within a range. It's super easy to warm up a moist towel in a microwave, but the microwave won't keep it warm if you want to just have some towels ready to go without monitoring it. I do wish that this had a temperature dial on it that would allow me to control how warm I want my towels to be, though. We are Using it for a barber shop, and it’s smaller than we thought. We use different size towels if we put larger one only about 3 fit but If we use hand towels then we can fit about 8

    • Not Bad, A little Slow to Warm Up

This thing works pretty well for bathroom towels. It gets to the right temperature, it just takes a little longer than I'd like. I'd like to be able to wake up in the morning, flip the switch, take a shower and have a hot towel ready to go. This thing takes more like 20-30 minutes to heat up a full-size bath towel. It would be nice to have some sort of "start timer" feature like you have on a coffeemaker to tell it when to start in the morning. But overall, it's well made and does the job. The UV light is a gimmick though. How is a UV light going to sterilize a folded towel? OK, great, the light hit the 10% of the towel facing the bulb! ... show more

My husband is big into the care of his beard lately and this is his new obsession. He has a bunch of special hand size towels that he places in here and puts it at its highest setting so he can take it out place the towel over his face after he does his derma rolling for his beard. He pairs it with his beard oil to steam his skin and stimulate his pores. He loves it and it’s definitely a “pore opener” for sure. I like to take one of his warmed towels to place on my face to open up my pores before doing my skin care and than placing it back in the towel warmer so I can use it after I’m done scrubbing my face too. He grabbed some pretty big hand towels but I can fit at least ten of them if I wanted to shove them in but we usually do about five just because we like them to get really warm. This is really cute and it doesn't take up too much space- but if your bathroom's already cramped it might be too big for it. The top is flat and you can put stuff on it, because it doesn't get hot. It holds several washcloths or one regular bath towel. It will not hold a bath sheet, but smaller linens get quiet warm and feel wonderful. It's perfect for facials, and shaving. ... show more
