I needed a dock I could put my 15" macbook pro onto with at least 2 HDMI slots and a USB slot for my microphone. However, the microphone needs a little bit of power, which it would get just fine if plugged straight into the laptop. This doc uses up all of the USB-C slots on the macbook pro, though, so the mic goes into the dock. If I plug the dock into the computer (or restart the computer) with the mic plugged into the dock, the mic will not be given the power needed. I need to plug the mic in after everything is hooked up and ready to go, which involves sliding the dock out from under the monitor stand. It's a hassle to do every time. Maybe because it couldn't handle the mic appropriately as mentioned above, the left side of the dock now seems to have died, just after the 6 month product support window. ... show more

Love the design/profile of the docking station. I'm running (2) external displays and it works perfectly with my 16" M1 Pro MBP. My biggest frustration with this dock is that it doesn't provide independent power; you have to have your computer power adapter plugged into your computer (if running a MBP). At $300, I was expecting to see one in the box. That's the only thing holding this dock back from a 5-star review from me. ... show more

Using this with a 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro - great connectivity options and driving 3 external monitors with the MB in clamshell mode. Only downside so far is the dock can get very hot, and by design, is in direct contact with your laptop… effectively using the laptop to dissipate heat lol. Slid a a sticky note pad between the dock and laptop and noticed laptop temperatures came down! Great dock other than the high temp, but I might just be over-worrying about that. ... show more

Piece of junk, I have an M1 MAX, and bought this hub coz I like clean spaces, if you work as a designer the hdmi outs work with several displays at the beginning, it's been a month and there isn't a day that I hadn't have to unplug and plug everything again and again until it decides to work. Sometime it doesn't read the usb 3, other times the usb C won't read until plugin and unplugging again, sometimes one of the displays won't turn on, until having to unplug and plug several times, it has been a nightmare. I actually use the laptop with 3 displays and the hdmi out from the computer, 5 displays in total, the gadget heats up a lot, and the USB C only works for hard drives with usb c conector, in order to use my thunderbolt 3 audio interface (Apollo twin X) it won't recognize it, so I have to sacrifice one display in order to be able to use the interface and start hustling with cables again. It wouldn't recognize my thunderbolt 2 hard drive with the adapter either, bummer having to unplug displays in other to be able to use the hard drive or the audio interface. I waste almost 30 minutes unplugging and plugging until it decides to work. Don't waste money on this. ... show more

The specs shared in the description are very misleading. The docking station runs very hot- seems like it won’t last very long at this temperature. I have 2 MacBooks and neither one is able to utilize the “3 display ports” only 2 will work at a time. I got the extended 15 port version thinking I would be able to use it and could not. I contacted the support team directly on the vendor page and the response was very lackluster redirecting me a link of a specifications page. This product will not allow use of 3 external monitors (unless you have the latest Mac model I believe). Regardless there must be better options out there even if your computer will support it. The packaging looked like it had been through rough times upon arrival (box it was shipped in was fine) and there were no instructions about the silly rubber strips- which apparently I did not place correctly. I’ve spent nearly $650.00 with this company, and have not found a single solution that actually works. I have a brand new 2022 MacBook Pro 13” and no matter what cables I buy, which port I use or anything else…this product will not work. Geek Squad came out, and refunded my money because even they couldn’t figure it out. What the actual $&:@???? ... show more
