**editing to 4 stars because I received a message from the seller today for a full refund which I completely did not expect. I ended up buying a fish tank aerator to use as a pump and to keep water flowing and it did seem to work great despite the faulty pump. Started seeds 2 days ago.     • SO FAR THIS HYDRO GROW SYSTEM SEEMS PERFECT!

UPDATE! All the radishes in all six grow pods sprouted within two days and already have leaves! I`ll keep updating as they grow. Everything is functioning as designed and all I have to do is check the water level regularly when the plants get larger and add nutrients every two to three weeks. AMAZING! So easy and fun! I just planted big China Rose radishes and it took less than five minutes! I added the included nutrients to the water, filled it 3/4 of the way on the little window on the front, put the grow sponges in, dropped two radish seeds in each hole, covered them with the included clear caps to hold in the humidity until they sprout and develop leaves, plugged it in inside the old windowless computer room, held the power button for five seconds until it flashed off and back on to set itself to longest grow period...and DONE! It has three light cycle settings from 12 hours on/12 hours off to 16 hours on and 8 off enabling the grower to grow multiple types of herbs and vegetables and the included directions were easy to follow for a complete newbie like me. This is my first time to try growing food this way and I am extremely excited! This would be a fantastic gift for an elderly person, a child wanting to learn about plants, and especially someone living in an apartment with no yard or balcony to grow herbs and vegetables. PLUS....you can grow ALL YEAR LONG even in Alaska and this is probably a great way to start certain plants indoors to transplant outside to get a huge jump on the growing season without worrying about an early frost! These seem to be a great introduction into the many possibilities of hydroponic gardening and I`m sure I will learn so much by trying this neat new hobby! I planted radishes because they`re fast producers but remember if you try this that leaf lettuces like Salad Bowl, Romaine, and other similar types are fast growers too. I chose a radish type with large long bulbs first as a challenge to see what`s possible with this unit and how fast it matures this way. I`ll update my review if and when they sprout and get leaves, then give a taste test report at harvest time. I will also update with any tips I learn about and share my future growing adventures. This Hydroponics grow system is really cool. This is my first time trying out Hydroponic growing. The system came with everything I need to get started growing. I have some cherry tomato's along with a variety of different greens and pepper types we are growing in the system. We are also going to try out some herbs. I like the grow light is full spectrum and the Hight can be adjusted during the different stages of growth. The kit comes with plant food/nutrients that you simply mix and add to the water "directions are included" along with cone grow trays and grow sponges and germination domes. It comes with directions that tell you about light position and growth stages. You simply add the water add the nutrients place your seeds in the provided sponge place it in the cone basket and place the dome cover that helps speed up germination and turn it on. The watering system sprays the sponges keeping them saturated with the proper amount of moisture and nutrients. The system is very easy to use even for people like me who have never tried out hydroponic growing before. The system is power saving and has three different automatic timers that provide light for 8,14 and 16 hours automatically shutting down Saving energy. I love that you can grow food indoors with no chemicals we are using organic seeds and with this system absolutely no GMO's in the plant food. I think you will be very happy with the system for yourself or giving it as a gift to you plant loving friends and family. I was very pleased with the price and the system is worth every penny. I highly recommend this system to anyone wanting a fun simple way to grow indoor herbs or vegetables including straw berries.
