Just grows mold on every single one and kills seedling systematically. Very bad quality. They aren't even the same size. A lot are way too short. Nothing has managed to grow. Waste of money.

These pods arrived free of damage. These pods fit in our growing system. They perform like the original pods shipped with our hydrogrow system. We have six spots in our hydroponic grow system. We grow our favorite herbs to enhance our recipes. We soaked the pod(s) for 24 hours in freshwater before adding seed and placing the pod in our growing system. We probably only needed a few hours (if that) of soaking time but it was easy to s9oak over night. The soaking water was slightly discolored, which is to be expected. We would have concern if the pod caused the soaking water to be very cloudy such we could not see through the water. The pods fit in the small baskets that came with our growing system. Our kitchen is a bit warm (we are in our summer season), so germination in these *inbloom* pods is occurring fast. We expect a quantity of 50 replacement pods will last us for a very long time with our 6 pod hydro growing system.

The material of these inbloom grow sponges appears more dense than the ones I normally use, but they seem to uptake moisture and nutrients just fine. I was concerned that the material would inhibit early root growth, so I tested both sets of sponges at the same time with some lettuce seeds under one system. The seeds in the inbloom sponges began germinating first, but not by a significant margin. The seeds planted in "Brand X" began emerging a day later. 100% germination rate for both brands. Above water, the sprout growth was fairly equal. The roots penetrated all the sponges of Brand X before the roots even broke through the surface of the inbloom sponges more than 2 days later. However, Brand X didn't outperform the inbloom grow sponges by a comfortable lead. The main difference was in the price per unit. The inbloom sponges were a clear winner based on value.

These were not the same quality sponges that I received with my original grow kit. They crumble and fall apart and I have not had a good success rate for growth with these. Will not buy again. Would not recommend.
