This is my first mug press. I have it set on medium. There is a way to change the settings, just look it up. I use it for 12 oz. and smaller mugs. Ceramic mugs take a lot longer than the steel mugs. I do not use parchment with the mugs. Super easy!

Wow! What a great deal for the mug press and 4 mugs under $100 and it works amazingly! I have been sublimating tumblers and other products for years as a small business and decided to expand and include mugs. No thought process at all required, just heat up, wrap mug (which is straight edge and wrapped just like my tumblers with top taped over and bottom cut exactly to size with no tape), put into press once heated and it is preset with the exact pressure, temperature and time needed. The press itself takes a bit longer than tumblers and it beeps once done. Let it sit to cool and you get the perfect sublimated mug! I used a sublimation coated mug (other brand), sublimation paper with sublimation ink printed on epson ET-8550 and it is beautiful! Highly recommend! ... show more

Daughter wanted to try this and add to her craft area, so I sent this for her birthday. She researched the production of included cups. After setting up the REQUIRED special, dedicated printer and ink, which is a separate purchase, she started the process. She followed the direction and produced her first cup. As with any new craft, she expected to produce the first cup and then go back and figure out why it didn't work. To her extreme amazement, her first cup = perfect. I, too, was amazed at the perfection and color production. Her next step is t-shirts! Yes, it does more than cups! ... show more

I purchase this machine and it was easy to use made awsome coffee mugs but it stoped working and tried to search for help on line to contact Cricut and could not find a way to get in touch with Cricut. There is no help support available

Attempted to set up via cricut application (because that's required to get the unit to work) couldn't get it to work. Waited a few weeks, tried again unsuccessfully. Tried waiting a few more weeks. Still unsuccessful. I finally reached out to cricut customer support only to be told they know it is an issue that "renders the item useless" but their only answer to that was to tell me their tech team was "working on it" and wouldn't give me a date other than "soon". Item arrived as described, mugs carefully packed, and an online system so broken it makes the entire press unusable. I think I'll be buying from another brand in the future, and I'd suggest you look at others as well. ... show more
