Product didn’t leak at all but after using it once the protective covering over the tube began to rip and the sewing unraveled fully by the end of the hike. And now it’s passed the return window so I’m stuck with it :( I’ll buy from REI next time Update! Their customer service is stellar. They reached out and not only refunded me fully but also sent me another bladder to replace the broken one. I haven’t been able to use it yet but they certainly made up for it and stand by their product.

It’s really unfortunate that this product came with multiple holes/tears in it because it seems to be be made well and I was looking forward to using it. I chose to purchase it despite the first review I saw, which was negative..that stated they had holes in their product but since there was so many other positive reviews I took the chance and needless to say I was extremely disappointed to see that there was scrapes, tears and holes in my hydration bladder. If you’re going to have amazon drop ship your product you should probably put something more than a plastic bag to protect it, I mean it’s still a plastic product after all...maybe try bubble wrap?

Terrible quality control... it's probably leak proof if they didn't punch holes in the bladder or crack the valves in shipping. The plastic compression spring to hold the tube to the bladder was also warped and didn't hold well. You can see in the pictures how the bag holding the bladder and the components was torn, which also tore through the bladder. Opened this box outside if the return window so I can't return it.

Love this pack, but did have a bit of a scare. The o-ring broke and went missing sometime and I didn't notice so the next time I tried to use it, I had water everywhere! 🙃 So a trip to the local hardware store for a pack of #6 O-rings has fixed the issue. Back up and running with no problems

haven't got to use the new Hydration Bladder, but very pleased with the Bladder. Durable, and well made. I used a 50/50 mix of hot water, and baking soda then filled the Bladder, and tubing with the solution for approx 2 hours, then drained, and rinsed the Bladder with clean water. Afterwards, i used paper towels to dry the inside of the bladder, and spun the water out of the tubing, then allowed the tubing to air dry for 24 hours dusconnected...no more issues with smell, and no signs of mold. Great price, customer service and delivery.

Great hydration pack! After using several Camelback products and other hydration packs I knew pretty much what I like as well as my wife and kids. This was exactly it, which is why I’ve bought 2 more now after using the first one on trips all around South Korea and the Philippines. We learned after traveling to Japan that we needed a protector over the bite valve after seeing it tough the ground and who knows what else. Haven’t had that issue since. Also helps keep the water a consistent temperature with the covered hose. Definitely got annoyed with drinking hot water the first couple sips when hiking in the heat with the sun heating it up that I ended having to blow the water in the hose back into the bladder each time I took a drink. No issues with that since using this bladder. Great bite valve with quality materials used. My kids like to chew on them after drinking and destroying cheaper quality silicone pieces pretty easily. Again, no issues with that since using this bladder.

Well designed and manufactured, arrived in perfect condition. Hydration bladders aren’t bulletproof no matter who makes them and need to be periodically replaced. This bladder by Laney is as good, especially for the price, as any out there. It will/should fit any backpack with a hydration pocket and similar volume bladder. Hose is well made, I didn’t need the supplied clips as my backpack already has permanent hose bands but it’s a nice touch. Also the replacement hose gasket is good to have. I rinsed mine twice with fresh water before it’s first use, didn’t really notice any objectionable plastic taste.

I was surprised by the quality of this hydration bladder for the price. It is functional, durable and exactly what I needed. The hose also has an extra outer sleeve that is water proof. I would recommend this item.
