  • After a year
I absolutely LOVE my mower. One year later, it is still in great shape, fun to use, and like new. I live in central Florida, so it gets a workout! No short 3-month growing season for us! I am now having fun looking at the attachments that are available from HV, and thinking about all the other jobs I can put my mower to work on. At age 66, and female, I don't have the strength to lift things like I once had, so a front scoop would be helpful, and the sunshade options would be nice, too... I am a die hard Husqvarna Viking fan. From my serger to my embroidery machine, my chainsaw (a little one), to my mower, this company makes quality products that I appreciate. ... show more

  • What 3 year Bumper To Bumper Warranty? NOT!!!
I bought this and got what I thought was a good deal. I wanted to retire my 18 year old John Deere L100. That for the last 7 years cut the same property. Yes I've worn out/ broken a few belts. But tires cracking, deck starting to rust, seat cracking, time to retire. 18 years service. Now my YTH24V48 I only have less than 10 hours on it now. Mowing the same property. I hit a 4" stump I forgot about. a few minutes later no cutting... Returned to the barn and started diagnosing. It was a Saturday. I found the left blade spindle housing had cracked and broken off it's mounts. It is cast pot metal. The belt was damaged but unbroken. I removed the spindle and could see that there was air bubbles in the pot metal at the breaks. Monday I called Warranty service and was informed after 20 minuted and a return phone call. The spindle housing was NOT covered -even though there was clearly defects in the pot metal!!! My 18 year old John Deere had hit the same stump..Never broke a spindle, never ruined the belt... Anyhow Lowe's had the spindle for $49.95 and a belt for $52.98. Less than 10 hours on the tractor, second tank of gas, and it's all ready cost me over $100. Should of put new tires on the 18 year old John Deere and save almost $2000.. OH yes- the spindles have zerk fittings for grease. Husqvarna had never greased the spindles. they were dry. Now they are greased though. I am considering suing in small claims court. but filing is $35. ... show more

  • Has been a great mower forr me.
I bought mine from a big box store. It had been returned to the factory and had an engine replacement then re-sold to me at a great discount. This was 6 years ago. I have a large yard with seasonal weeds that pass for grass for 4 months of the year. I mow the horse pasture 4 or 5 times a year and the rest of 3 acres sometimes twice a week in mowing season. I Clean the air filter and wash the grass out of the deck after mowing and also lube the zerk fittings. I also change the oil twice a season and replace spark plugs once a season. It still runs like new and I have many hours of hard use on it. I will eventually replace it with a pro model but have had no problems...Yet. I did just replace a cracking fuel tank for $126.or so due to damned ethanol in the fuel here. That's all. ... show more

  • 5 years running, no issues
I've had this mower for 5 years cutting about an acre on a pretty sloped lot. Parts of it I have to lean on the side of the seat as I mow. Its a 2 acre lot but only half is grass, the other half, besides the house is big trees. So I mow lots of leaves and sticks, I have a creek I get close to, and kudzu I mow over. So after 5 years, not a single issue. I take it in once a year for an oil change, lube and blades sharpened. I'm concerned the K46 hydraulics isn't really up to a sloped lot, and I catch my grass so there is added weight from that as well. I'm hoping for 10 year out of it. Hopefully this review doesn't curse me. I need to knock on some wood. I recommend the mower though on my next purchase I'd get the beefier model that is probably better suited to my yard with the K66 differential. ... show more

  • My fourteen years of experience
I have a YTH2448; however, mine is from 2006. I have it tuned up etc. every year or so. Mine is still running and has had very few issues other than you would expect from a fourteen-year-old tractor. Now I the company has made changes over the years, I just figured I would share some insight from a long time user. ... show more
