Although I returned it, it is an exact fit. I would buy it again knowing what I know. Below is my review on a returned cable that was not a fit and one that was which I kept and this one that was a fit but returned due I only needed one. I did not install it due I did not want to break it's plastic package but verified the correct Z bends and length. I just kept the first one that fit. But this cable is you need one for the same or similar Husqvarna mower. Here's my review for the other bad cable and a different vendor good cable. Ordered this cable from 3 different vendors due all the reviews and issues. One had the "Z" bends too large, it's being returned. Another two however was an EXACT FIT. This one being one of the two. Below is my review on the one that didn't fit. Two cables fit perfectly and arrived quickly!! The one to order. Look at my picks and you'll see the Z end is smaller on the OEM and the correct size. The pic shows the OEM with another cable that I ordered that was too large or thick. This cable was the same smaller diameter as the OEM shown in the picture. The first two pics shows it finished and installed. Order it with total confidence! It's a 5 min swap. Review on the wrong cable. I omitted the seller. Purchased this to fix my stretched Husqvarna LC221AH AWD ( All wheel drive ) with the Briggs 725EXI. It was so stretched it wouldn't disengage the kill switch and thus no spark or start. The previous owner couldn't get it to start. After he replacing the air filter and spark plug with new ones, the previous owner gave up and sold it. For $40 I took a chance, figured I'd rebuild it but it was a simple stretched worn cable. As others stated, the end "Z" bends are way too thick. I'm not drilling my handles holes or carb linkage or force it thru so it can then not rotate and bind. If they can't get that quality control issue resolved then I expect little from the cable. I did order 2 other cables from different sellers and both were identical to the OEM with the correct "Z" bends. I used 1, swapping it out in 5 minutes. I'm sending this one and the other good spare from another vendor back. Unfortunately due to issues like this, and knock off copies making their way to Amazon and other resellers, one must order several, then return the unused ones. Luckily Amazon has free returns. My $40 plus $15 AWD mower runs perfect, one pull start! Make sure to zip tie it nice and spray some WD40 at the top end of the cable at years end keep it working smoothly. Pass on this cable. Get this Cable instead!

Cable worked (with a little help).... Meaning that it is slightly too long...routed a different way to add tension. Again, works well, but not a perfect fit.

I ordered this last fall and just got around to installing it. Even though it listed my exact Craftsman model, it was NOT a direct fit. See image. This item has one cable slot, where the original one has 2 - the 2nd one is for the lever that engages front wheel drive. I had to use 4 zip ties to strap the drive cable to the handle which works just “ok”. Lost a zip tie the first time I mowed, so that will be a repeat process. Three star for quality and exact length. Knocked off two for not mentioning the difference.
