This is a kick board not a boogie board. Barely holds my 4 year old above water. It’s become more of a toy than a useful item.

This is very similar to the basic kickboard I used to learn to swim on. The choice in multiple patterns allowed me to have the kiddo choose what they wanted to get excited about learning to swim this summer. It's quite buoyant and honestly even at 245 lbs I have a hard time keeping it under water, so I trust it to keep my 7 year old up and out of the water, under close supervision of course. I did not need one of these with my oldest child, but every kid learns differently, if your kid will not move their legs and insist on only swimming with their arms this is a great training aid to get them to bring it all together.
