This lineman rope worked just as I expected it to. I use it when I get to the top and need to get into my tree stand. When I'm at the top of my sticks, I attach this to the tree. Clip into it with my back shock cord. Then I detach my lineman rope I have on. Works great. I'm always attached to the tree using it like this. To get down. I simply reverse what I did. I did replace the carabiner to a lighter one that I had and will use that one for a permanent safety line on a fixed stand.

Looks very well made. Comes with heat shrink tubing joining the line ends, a nice nylon storage bag and a very heavy steel 24kn rated locking carabiner. The only thing I would change is the heavy steel locking carabiner for a lighter weight aluminum 24kn locking carabiner. I normally use a 30’ life line with an added long foot loop prusik knot. I was thinking this shorter safety line would weigh much less but it is heavier than my 30’ set up. All in all for the price it is well worth it, just not what I hoped for.

Not bad belt by any means very useful but when gagging climbing sticks there is about 3-4 feet of excess rope you have to deal with and can become a pain.

The carabiner is heavy duty and would support just about any weight you throw at it. With this said it makes it a bit heavy. The rope came with no freys. Overall you could build this or just get this product. Either way it works 100 percent and is a good value.
