Excellent fish finder imo. Paired with a Terrova trolling motor its awesome. Spot lock, heading and cruise control, follow the contour, all are outstanding features. All 3 sonar views are excellent and have their place. Pretty easy to navigate the features and tons of videos online to help. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it. Ease of use, quality of picture, I like it better than them my buddies Humminbird Solix. One drawback is the connectors in the back of the unit if not careful you could cross thread them.

I actually love it. Installed with 8ga. Marine grade wire to a dedicated battery and is working great. I’m replacing a Lowrance hds 10 gen1 with a LSS1. I didn’t pay attention to actual display dimensions but with a chart and downscan selected it seems much smaller than the old Lowrance. It maybe the vx card. I had the premium navionics card in the Lowrance which seems much better than the default vx. I’m going to pay the 199 for the upgraded vx to see if it’s better which may also help visibility when viewing both chart and downscan. Currently I need a full screen with chart view to navigate. And when zoomed out I lose so much detail. Hopefully the upgraded vx will solve my issue. If not, I’ll probably try a 12 cho model to run just chart and use the 10 for di/si. Don’t get me wrong. I love the 10”. I still fiddling with settings and vx card is on the way. Love the touchscreen and speed! Just prefer better chart details. ... show more

Coming from the Helix and Solix models, this unit is really great. I am keeping my Solix models on my boat but replacing my Helix unit with this. It networks great with Solix and newest update is much easier to use than older software updates on Solix and much nicer than Helix. My new unit even came with the newest software update of 5.080 which came out two weeks prior to getting this unit. Humminbird customer service is the best anywhere with a call back using their One Boat App and they call back within minutes when within normal business hours. This unit is fast and solid and even comes with advanced mapping that you had to buy separate in the past units and covers all of U.S. states. ... show more
