I really enjoy the look of this product - it's a 3rd party product but has the Apple "feel" that I love. I also really appreciate that they took the time to color match the aluminum to the device - at least with the space grey model I have anyway (can't speak for the others). I only have two very minor complaints - and take this as a very minor complaint as you can see I still rated this 5 stars: the first is that I wish weight required to press the "fins" in to hold the device was a bit lower. I have a 14" macbook pro m1 and it's not quite as heavy as the bigger ones, so it's not a super tight grip. That said, it holds it firmly enough that I trust it, so take that as you will. Lastly, the little silicon/rubber feet on the bottom aren't super tight in the aluminum channel they're in - if the stand is sitting on your desk with your laptop and you slide it toward you, the silicon feet grip the desk so well that they tend to slide out of their channel in the base. Again, very minor complaint because they slide right back in and I don't really often "slide my dock across the desk" so it's kind of a weird "I just happened to notice this" type thing. That said, I do adore this dock and would 100% buy it again. My only wish is that they made an iPad Pro version! I tested my iPad Pro 12.9 in it and it's not quite heavy enough to get a good clamp on, which is fine because it's not intended for iPad! So I really hope you folks make an iPad one - I'll be your first customer! Updated to add - I forgot to mention, it's silly but I really love that they included a tiny little rubber cable manager to stick to your desk/nightstand. Simple and sturdy. The rubber bottom that helps pull the top stabilizer helps keep my laptop from moving. It's also a space saver too since it puts the laptop right against the wall with the bottom side facing out for air ventilation. Would recommend.

When I received the product, I thought I bought the other HumanCentric vertical stand (model 401-1024-S) but realized I got the model that doesn't have the extra silicone pads to add to fit your laptop. Instead, when you put the laptop into the groove, the holder bends inwards to clasp your laptop. It works okay, but I can easily move the laptop back and forth. I decided to keep it because the other model apparently doesn't work that well with the 2023 Macbook Pro 15". ... show more

The design of this stand is very clever and holds my laptop securely. The weight of the laptop presses down on the two cradle pieces that join the two side arms, which pulls the side arms toward the top and bottom of the laptop, snugly holding it vertical. I haven't experienced any of the gripes I read in the negative reviews. It holds both of my laptops, a Dell Latitude 7420 (14") and a MacBook Pro 13” (2017), just as well as another popular $60 stand holds the MacBook that it is tailor-made for. The silicone pads on the HumanCentric stand’s side arms press gently on the laptop – there is no gap. The overall construction is solid and mostly of aluminum. I got the black color, and the finish is dark and even. Pro-tip: place your laptop in the stand hinge-side first, so the ports are closer to the desk and you reduce the risk of cables pulling the laptop over. Any device thicker than the stated 1 inch limit will definitely prevent the side arms from gripping effectively, so beware if you have a case on your device. I’m hard-pressed to find anything I would change, which is why I gave this stand 5 stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have been looking up laptop stands that work for a 16" MB pro for a while. As I am sure many of you saw this product came with high reviews. My question is HOW????? When I got the item it wasn't in one piece. The 2 plastic edge pieces were not connected and it came with no instructions but it was relatively to figure out after some fiddling with it. The stand is super lightweight and matches the macbook color very well, I can say that much. Other than that it is flimsy crap. First off it has a HUGE opening. You could literally fit a bible in there or like a laptop from 1998. This means there is a lot of room for your laptop to wiggle around.. it does not hold the laptop snug. Obviously you dont want a super tight fit but this goes in the opposite direction and is completely loose. your laptop doesnt really stand up in this STAND, it just leans back. If you look at my video you can see that if the laptop leans too far back it will just fall over, and this is unacceptable for people who pay hundreds or thousands for their device. The rubber feet on this stand also move freely in their slots and do not reach the full length of the stand. Other than the look of the stand this thing is absolute trash. I wouldn't be happy with this thing if I bought it from Five Below, let alone paying $30 for it. DO . NOT. BUY. look elsewhere. ... show more
