IMPORTANT - 10 pounds plates are NOT designed to be used ALONE. To make all plates in same diameter, all standard 10 pounds plates are thin, so they will bend if you use them alone. This will damage your 10 pounds plates Overview: Bumper plates, or just bumpers, are Olympic-sized weight plates that are made of thick, dense rubber for the purpose of allowing a loaded bar to be safely dropped without risk of damaging your lifting platform, the plates themselves, or the floor. High Density rubber plates with solid stainless steel insert can withstand repeated drops. They will not only protect any type of floors, but also protect your bars. These plates arrived quickly and were exactly as pictured. They appear to be well made and have little to no bounce. I weighed each plate twice and found that one plate was about a pound heavier than the other, but they are both right around 45 pounds. There is very little play in the hole, so you have to be pretty square when putting them on/taking them off a bar. First i just got this product yesterday, so they haven't been used as i am on a rest day. I will put these these to work and tons off it so how they hold up can't say.. yet. What i can tell u is they look great opening out of the packaging, wrapped well, great condition.it will be nice to add some color to my home gym. smell almost none, which is great when u are in a small gym like mine. Shipping: They came on time. would i recommend from what i see so for yes. but i will put them through the ringer after a few months and be back to update. so the update is here its been a little over 3 months and the center ring came loose on one after tons of hard workout, the other is still solid. i snatch 200+ an my clean is decent I'm 6'2 really long arms so when i drop the weight when its heavy its from way up. i got in touch with hulkfit costumer service and they are great, they where kind and quick shipping a new one as i type this. These seem fine, but I'm not using these for deadlifts, snatches, etc. Bought two 45 plates to practice the Sprint-Drag -Carry portion of the Army Combat Fitness Test. I'm not as concerned with durability. My main concern was shipping. I work in Hawaii. Hulkfit was among the three companies that would even ship to the island without charging 3x the cost of the product. They were the best rated of the three. The price was comparable. My plates arrived in less than a week, well-packed. without damage. They were wrapped and strapped into cardboard and then boxed in a second cardboard box. The plates had some marks in them which look like minor cosmetic manufacturing flaws - nothing significant. Other customers have noticed the same marks. I don't care. They fit the sled I have. Measured as 45.3 lbs. They came with an encouraging Warranty Card. I was also offered a free pair of barbell clamps for this review. It seems like a good deal. What could go wrong? ... show more

I just recently received the 45-pound bumper plates and have had several workouts with them already. The shipping was great, they did arrive with some type of moisture but was easily wiped off. I have dropped them several times and they have a good low bounce and seem to be durable but only time will tell. I weighed them both on a home scale and they were exactly the same weight and less than a pound from 45, so very accurate plates. Also, I love the color. I'll be getting more of these. ... show more

    • Attractive weights and appear to be durable

These weights are good looking with good color, not dull at all and they appear to be durable. The sets were not available so I ordered individual pairs. 10,15.35 and 45. So far I have received the 15, , 35 and 45 pound weights and I am very satisfied. They look good in any gym and the steel inserts are bright and shiny which makes them look good on any chrome or steel barbell. When they arrived there were a few very minor scuff marks but they were hardly noticeable and understandable as weights will get scuffed in shipping. The only issues I had was the shipping they took a while to arrive and they all arrived at different times. Also the 25 pound weights (green) seem to be impossible to buy. They are either never available or if available they are grossly overpriced. I have seen them cost from over 300..00 to over 400.00 just for one pair. This is highly unreasonable since the 35's cost 70 each and the 45's cost 80 each. Other than that I am happy with my purchase and would buy again when the weights I am looking for become available at a reasonable price. ... show more

Got fortunate to find these during the Prime Day event but these are well-priced just normally. The insert collars are about 1" thick (beyond the oly bar opening.) Some bumper plates hardly have any clearing beyond the opening (much thinner inserts,) so this should allow for a long duration of wear. The bumper rubber feels very secure around the steel weight. The only critique I could find is that the insert collar is slightly tight on a 2-inch oly collar. It fits but there isn't much play, compared to other bumper plates I have. It also has the distinct smell of new rubber but this is less a critique than it is recognition of that aspect of the material. It should work itself out in a few days. I bought a pair of 45s and they were both delivered in 3 days (prime, so free shipping.) I was concerned that they would have taken longer or would arrive on separate days but they both made it on the same-day. I will have to update this review once I get some mileage on them but I've been impressed so far. In all, though, these plates look really good and I am hoping these last for a while. ... show more
