After reading all reviews and waiting over 3 weeks for delivery I received my 370lb set and was instantly disappointed. The plates looked nothing like they do in the pictures. Every plate has parallel grooves throughout the plate that I assume is from the molding process. The two 35’s are different shades of blue. The 10’s have black markings and dents. The red 45 have speckles of the orange from the 15’s on them and there are blemishes and seams throughout the set. I was very bummed out upon receiving these because they looked so nice in the pictures. I reached out to hulkfit(they do not have a number or website but provided an email with their “warranty” card with the shipment). After a week of very unresponsive emails they just said they were sorry but they would not be able to fix the problem. I am returning these and buying a nicer set from another brand. This has been a waste of a month.

Let’s get one thing out of the way: these are not machined in Sweden or forged in the heartlands of America. They don’t meet IWF standards and aren’t being used at the Olympics. They’re bumper plates you found Amazon; probably under the ‘ships for free’ filter. That being said if you’re looking for cheap bumper plates that have a bit of color, I found these to be a pretty good deal (especially during the pandemic). When I ordered I paid around $180 to have two 55 lb plates shipped to my home. Overall I’d say they’re a good pair of plates to have for the price and I will always have a use for cheaper bumper plates in my home gym. Depending on the price these might be exactly what you’re looking for! More details below: ***as a note: the seller is giving away collars for reviews on their products. I will attempt to give my honest opinion on these plates regardless * Accuracy and Performance * The weights were ‘bathroom scale’ accurate and don’t have too much bounce. They’re the right height and fit on your standard Olympic barbells. I dropped them from overhead a few times and they didn’t spontaneously combust or shatter to pieces. Whether or not they’ll hold up for years to come is a question I can’t really answer. They feel quite solid but I suppose 55lbs of anything can feel quite solid. * Cosmetics * Purple is obviously not the official color dictated by the IWF but for some that will be just fine. The color pops and isn’t dull and as a LSU and UW alum I am quite happy with the way it looks in my garage. If you’re a fan of Mr. Banner or fitness in general the white lettering is probably a nice touch too. I can’t speak for all of their plates but both of mine had some cosmetic damage. (Paint not lining up, red scratches, scuff marks, air pockets, etc. ) Some of this damage was likely from shipping but a good amount of it was probably from HulkFit themselves. I don’t believe any of the damage would affect the performance or longevity of these plates but I’ll update this review in the future if they do.

These are rubber bumper plates. The hub at the center is steel. The rubber bumpers are simply friction fit onto the hub. These are fine if you are simply pulling from the floor. They are not dropable from overhead. If they are the only plates on a bar and they get dropped from 4', the rubber wheel will separate from the metal hub. They slip back on just fine, but they aren't firmly attached. In short, these aren't a good choice to replace technique plates. But they are the correct height for doing pulls and mine were within 1% of labeled weight.

I decided to buy these bumper plates for my home gym. My oldest son needed more weight to do the olympic lifts. These bumper plates will do the trick. I wanted something that would not damage the floor of my garage. Just got them today and they the are all of 55 pounds. Not used to picking up a 55 pound plate instead of the normal 45. They seem to be extremely durable. The metal piece in the middle of the plate is twice the size of the other ones I bought in the spring. On top of that, my alma mater's colors are purple and that's the color of plates which is a good thing for my family. I am pretty confident these plates will last a lifetime. Very happy with my purchase.

Bottom line: These are decent weights, but nothing fancy. They get the job done and I feel like I got my money's worth. Recommend buying if you have the need. More details: These are decent weights for what they are. The pictures do look slightly nicer than reality, but I wasn't disappointed when I opened the boxes. If you're used to Rogue quality, you'll notice a difference, and maybe be disappointed. I had a few scuffs on the coating, but nothing that wasn't going to happen anyways with lifting. I didn't have any of the splitting or obvious defects that some people mention, but I also don't throw my weights around. If you want to drop your weights from chest-high, these are not the plates for you. The quality appears to be lower and you probably will damage the coating at some point. Regardless, I have no complaints so far, but I've also only had them for about a month. I will edit if that changes.

I ordered these plates, then read the bad reviews a few days later. So, I tried to cancel the order, but it was too late. They shipped. I was going to return them when they arrived, but upon arrival, I checked them out and they were good quality weights. Comparable to Ethos plates and Rogue Echo plates, which is good because the price points are the same. From 1-10, I'd say they are solid 8s. Only Rogue competition plates are 10s in my book. Maybe I got lucky and received good plates. Who knows. Would buy them again though...well after I drop test them this week.

at first i was worried about their warning that the 10lb plates would bend, but after receiving them, the warning makes sense. I saw other brands at the stores and they would have the same issue, but those brands didn't issue the warning. i have been using them now in my home gym and they are fantastic. i am happy that i bought the 260lb set, I can comfortably add on if needed. great purchase,. great value!
