The hats you could probably make work on a newborn but the gloves are most likely gonna be a bit big. I love this brand though! My 3-months-old babe’s head circumference is 16 inches exact, and these hats size 0-6 months fit nicely with room to grow into through the next winter/spring months. I notice very little tiny bit shrinkage (or just pulled tight after worn stretched out) after one wash and machine dry medium heat. 100% cotton material, soft and stretches enough to stay in place.
