The media could not be loaded. This is my first standing workstation, and this was really easy to assemble, to set up, and to use. I'm really happy with this model! It came in a box with custom build foam forms, and there wasn't a scratch on it and every corner and edge was in perfect condition. It had CLEAR and UNDERSTANDABLE instructions. If you haven't ordered something requiring assembly in a while, let me tell you, it's a mess. I've gotten incomprehensible instructions, I've gotten instructions for the wrong model or wrong item, and many times there aren't instructions. This had basic instructions with no nonsense. And the assembly was a breeze. Put the base down, put in a few screws, then the keyboard bracket goes on with 4 screws...DONE! And if you don't have a screwdriver, then it includes an alen wrench to use. It's heavy. If you haven't moved one of these before, I should warn you that it weight a lot to counter balance all the equipment on top. I kind of expected it, but I'm glad I had help to move it to the correct spot on my desk. All that weight makes it very sturdy. It uses a lever on the side to release the lock, and then you can move it up and down. It requires two hands to lift it into position because you need to do some of the lifting. Not a lot of effort, but it doesn't magically bounce upward. Then you can use the level and give it a little force downward to start the descent. I'm not using the full height of the unit. I'm 5' 8" and I use a walking pad that's 2" thick, and I don't need to completely extend the height to it's limit. Even when I'm walking on my walkingpad and my hand is on my mouse, the desktop does not vibrate or shake. It's very stable. The media could not be loaded. This is a high-quality standing desk addition. I really like the amount of surface area it provides; I don’t have to compromise the workstation I’ve already set up. The item is so sturdy that you could definitely have dual monitors comfortably on the main stand. The product base has a smaller footprint, which is very nice. However, the second tier for the keyboard almost entirely hangs off the front of my desk. The length of the item from the back of the base to the front of the keyboard stand is about 30 inches, so keep that in mind when considering the dimensions of your desk. Ergonomically, it may be a positive thing to have your keyboard closer to your body while seated, but it’s taking me a moment to adjust. The lifting feature is also very nice; it allows you to stop at whatever point feels best to you. It also glides up, which is better than similar versions of this type of product that snap up immediately and can be dangerous. I do feel like it takes a bit of force to get the product to lower, but it may be easier to do when you have the weight of a monitor. I felt my desk waver slightly when pushing to lower it, so this would be ideal for a sturdy desk. The assembly was pretty straightforward; you are provided with all the necessary tools except scissors. You’ll need scissors or a knife to release the lever for adjusting the stand.     • Decent quality, but a bit lopsided when moutning an extra monitor.
I like using a conversion desk, since I prefer to stand whenever possible to reduce the effects 0of a sedentary lifestyle. I've used other conversion desks that have electrical lifts to raise and lower the desk, but this one offers a quicker lift and lower speed than having an electrically operated desk. The assembly is a breeze, with only a few parts that really need to be put together. The main issue I have is the balance of the desk, and the fact that when you lift the desk, it sits further back, rather than coming forward a bit. As for the balance, when using it in a lifted position, it leans towards the side that my monitor is mounted on, which can be a little irritating. Aside from the few shortcomings, it's a decent desk, and is nice and quick to lower or raise. I just wish the base was a bit wider to maintain a better balance. ... show more

    • Very Nice Riser and Easy to Raise and Lower
This is a solid desk riser. I have a 32" monitor on it in addition my keyboard, mouse and mousepad on the lower shelf) and it all fits very nicely. It uses a gas piston to help support the desk. So it is very easy to lift and lower, even with a giant monitor. But it cannot hold two 32' monitors. Other risers are either totally manual (which means that it is super heavy to lift up and delicate to lower smoothly) or is motorized (which is nice, but expensive and adds another wire and plug to the desk). This piston powered riser is a great compromise. There is also a channel on the front edge of the upper desk area. I use it for my phone and some post-its and there is still room to spare. The assembly was not the most fun. They prove a very poor ex wrench with a Philips head on the other end. The fit into the screws left much to be desired. I just used my own multi-head screwdriver and it became a much easier assembly process. ... show more
