Pros: Low-cost, long, and thick enough wire for portable lights. Stranded wire, copper all the way through. Not aluminum! Ends seem to be molded and thus sealed against moisture. Cons: Not good for appliances. 10 amps is the limit. No fuse on a low-amp cord (only reason I removed a star)! Other: Good source of wire for making shorter cords. I used this to make a much shorter 240-volt cord. The amps of the application are <4, so this is well within limits, especially with only a 25-foot section. I kept the rest of the cord for if I need to make a long utility light for working in a shed or whatever. Obviously, the warranty was voided. And yes, they do in fact use copper all the way through - it's stranded copper to be flexible. You get exactly what you pay for, no more, no less. Would buy again.
