So a couple months ago I moved from a 1000 square foot apartment to 256 ft² micro studio, and it was super stuffy and hot in the micro studio despite not being hot outside. So I brought my portable air conditioner over from my old apartment. I figured it would probably perform a lot better in this tiny apartment than my old one. And it did, but it also made the power flicker and two times made the power go out via the breaker tripping. I do not have access to the breaker in this micro studio, so that was a pain in the butt. But having the breaker trip taught me that the bathroom is on its own circuit and then everything else is on another circuit. So I went and bought this extension cord so I can plug the air conditioner into the GFCI outlet on the other side of the room in the bathroom so that the AC is by itself on that circuit. This cord works great. It doesn't get warm/hot, my power doesn't flicker anymore, the breaker and the outlet don't trip, and nothing happens. I don't run the air conditioner 24/7, but I do run it pretty heavily because I am fairly warm all the time. But not since I got this cord!!! I now frequently will have the timer set on the air conditioner because otherwise it gets too cold in the micro studio.
