I like this sewing machine. It's small and lightweight, yet it feels sturdy and well made. So far I have used all the different stitches on practice cloths, and I hemmed a thick floor towel with double fold quilt binging along the edge. One of the features that motivated me to buy this machine over others in this price range was it's ability to sew through more pieces of cloth, and I have sewn through 5 layers with no issues. I also took the machine to a seamstress friend of mine for some lessons, and she liked it very much. She said the needles that come with it are good quality but that the thread is for light duty sewing. She helped me put stronger thread on the bobbins, and she cut a stiff plastic drinking straw to slide over the spool holder, so that I can use a normal size spool of thread. She also showed me how to thread the machine, but the guide/steps printed on the machine are actually very easy to follow. Her final suggestion was to fasten the foot petal controller to a heavier board with velcro tape, so that it doesn't slide around so much. (It's a very light plastic pedal that tends to slip around a lot on hard flooring). The machine comes with an instruction manual that I've found helpful. The only improvement I can think of is that the machine could come with an adapter to enable using a standard size spool of thread - but of course, cutting a 2 inch piece of drinking straw to make my own adapter wasn't hard to do. I'm very happy with this little machine and look forward to doing more projects with it.

This little genius is easy to use. The stitch quality is everything I anticipated. The functionality so far is everything it said it is. I used it today for the 1st time since it was delivered and there was no jamming this far. This is indeed a good buy. Value for the money. I'm yet to use it to take on more challenging tasks like sewing through 7 layers thick but so far so good. If any issues arise that the manual or YouTube can't assist with then I'll come back here but for now..... I highly recommend the product and the vendor. #HTVRONTGIRL

I'm returning this because the motor is too weak to stitch through 4 pieces of cloth; advertised to stitch 7. Tried better needles to no use. Tiny machine, easy for travel. I expected better based on positive reviews.

Giving a 4 right now. Perfect size for my Mom who has M.S.. Easy for her to handle, with buttons easy for her to move, with using only one hand. Pad looks like a computer mouse, meaning it's small for her in case she wants to use it, on the table, or just do it manually. Value for the $$, more medium size then a large sewing machine. Perfect for her. Thank you 😊

I was confused by the first arrival. It’s pre-threaded and has a square of test fabric loaded. I got a replacement and I guess they just ship that way. However, the needle kept getting stuck in a pair of jeans I was trying to hem. The whole purpose of my purchase is to hem pants for myself (I’m 5’2”). Unfortunately, I will probably just return for a singer. It’s not as “heady duty” as the description claims.
