This microscope is versatile enough to be use by both kids and adults. I bought this one for my almost eight years old granddaughter, she’s been wanting one. The LED lights are adjustable and ensures that specimens are well-illuminated for a great viewing. Very portable you can install 3AA batteries(not included) and use take it anywhere or can be plug in with the included adapter. One of the standout features of this microscope is the included number of useful accessories. This is amazing microscope perfect for home or school education in biology, science. Being able to take a closer look at the things that usually can't be seen with a bare eye has peaked my kids curiosity and desire to learn. The setup is designed to enable a wide field of the eyepiece with objective lenses of 4X,10X and 40X, offering a magnification of 40X-2000X. The kit comes with 12 experimental accessories, including swabs, dyeing agents, Petri dishes, test tubes and specimen slides. Adjustable LED lights allow better focusing of different objects; upper LEDs help observe solid objects like skin cells and vegetative pulp; lower LEDs allow better visualization of transparent objects like liquids and peels. A mobile phone holder is equipped with the device, and you can take pictures of your findings. The overall body of the setup is lightweight and comes in a shockproof and drop-proof handbag for easy transportability. I homeschool, and with the HSL microscope, I have piqued my kids' interest in scientific activities. To date, we have observed the cross-sectional view of 100s of objects, including insects, plant matter and keratinized compounds of the body. My son has always had a love for science and stuff like that, so I got him this for his birthday. He absolutely loves it, and is constantly trying to find anything he can inspect with it. This is a good beginner's microscope but the eye piece it came with is scratched and interferes with field of vision. All other claims are true as we used it, but needed to return it to get a better eye piece to see anything clearly. Buyer beware!

WOW!! Perfect your little inspiring scientist! Homeschooling has become quite the challenge for me. I decided to invest in this microscope to help the kids with their science studies.. It’s Very user friendly!!
